I remember having a similar experience, where the testimony of another convert, specifically, the following channel, kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZvIho2be89madk, bolstered my faith due to the research and seeking he had done. Your comment brings me the greatest joy. I hope to hear your testimony of what you know to be true, one day.

Jacob 5 is in full effect. The trimming of the bad branches is clearly happening and the young new clean and healthy branches are being grafted in for the final time before the lord of the vineyard comes again to collect his good fruits. I love these new converts who will be our future leaders. They are those who have been without it, have heard all the arguments against it, actually pray and read their scriptures and act on spiritual guidance. I love it! What a beautiful story!

Thank you for sharing your journey and your testimony! Isn't it amazing how the Lord guides you?! He was calling for me when I was 20 yrs old, more than 40 yrs ago, and I didn't know where to go and while I was trying to find out He put a book about the church in my way and I was so blown away at finding myself agreeing to everything I read, I had not expected that! He leads us by the hand step by step until we are ready to receive the whole truth, so very lovingly. Before I was baptized but investigating the church, I had this image in my mind about standing in the dark at night watching this house that was full of bright light and I longed to be inside in the light. I have been in this light for many years now and I am grateful everyday for Him leading me here. Despite all the worries in the world we can have peace and rest in Jesus when we follow Him through the gospel. I have also learned that we must always keep doing all the right things or we might loose what we have received, which I have seen too often in other people's lives and it breaks my heart. Thank you for being strong and walking your own path no matter what others have said, your testimony will change someone else's life, I convinced.

The jesus story is a cut and paste story. There were around 16 other christ like figures before him. They also healed the sick, were born of a virgin, claimed to be the son of god, died and rose again 3 days later and on and on. Buddha and Krishna for example are almost exact duplicates, and they both came thousands of years before jesus. Just a good story that gets passed down from one era to the next.

Welcome aboard good Sister & you are loved. The Lord needs us more than ever to fight for our beliefs & for this country. We must bring others unto Christ & save our fallen Saints. I left the Church when I was 16 because I had no testimony. 20yrs later the Lord saved me & brought me back but then I started having doubts & the Lord saved me again. I have a strong testimony & I’m a witness that Christ is there for us all when we turn to him for the truth but be warned of the adversary trying to put road blocks in our way. 😇

I am a 70 year old lifetime member. I know that Heavenly Father loves me and is very aware of me. Despite that, I often struggle with feeling worthy or having the ability to follow his direction. I have this constant nagging feeling that despite my best efforts I am not doing what he needs me to do. The second I opened up your video and started listening to your testimony I felt a powerful witness of the Spirit about the truth of your testimony. I continued listening and then in the middle somewhere you said something along the lines of - (I am just paraphrasing) - as long as you are doing your best, you can know the Lord is directing your steps (or something like that). I swear that was an answer to my pleadings with the Lord. It has changed my heart. I just pray I can hang onto it!!

Thank you for sharing your amazing testimony and recounting the remarkable journey you have traveled bringing you into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the fold of God--His true and living Church on the earth! I am so grateful for my many dear friends and associates over the years who as evangelical Christians and/or Catholic by background have struggled along a myriad of paths but have delayed seriously considering the Latter-day Saint faith due to the "accusatory fog" of which David Alexander speaks. I yearn to see them become apart of this new Great Awakening that is underway that is compelling people of this generation to investigate the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know that if they prayerfully embark on this endeavor in faith they will come to know the Lord Christ Jesus and our Eternal Heavenly Father on a level they could never previously imagine. I add my testimony to yours. I have come to know the clear and tender voice of the Good Shepherd. He is my Lord and King and has redeemed me from darkness, Death, and Hell. I have witnessed miracles and a multitude of blessings that have borne much fruit in my life. May we all seek to be faithful and steadfast, relying on our Savior as we share our testimonies and live in accordance to His will and teachings. The whisperings and sure witness of the Holy Ghost will aid us as we come unto God with "broken hearts and contrite spirits" (Moroni 6:2, 2 Nephi 2:7, 3 Nephi 9:20, The Book of Mormon) and give ourselves each day to the wonderful and exciting process of enduring to the end!

Hi Sharon. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful testimony. What an amazing life journey you’ve had! I am a 9th generation member of the Lord’s restored Church. I am 40 years old and I have been greatly blessed by the Lord throughout my life. He has taught me much through blessings and trials alike, and I know that He loves me and is guiding me back home to Him. Enduring to the end is not an easy task but with the Lord all things are possible. I have found my relationship with or closeness to the Holy Ghost to be a highly accurate indicator of my spiritual health, at any given time in my life. If I can’t remember the last time I felt the Holy Ghost or if i know it’s been a while, then i know I am overdue for some serious repentance. When I am interacting with the Holy Ghost on a daily or near-daily basis, then i know the atonement is working in my life. One activity I try to do consistently has really helped me focus on keeping the Spirit active in my life. I keep a log of my spiritual experiences. In this log, I record the date, what I felt or learned, and what I was doing at the time. While not nearly comprehensive, this log helps me track and review many of the spiritual experiences I’ve had since I started keeping it 7+ years ago. I’ve learned a few important principles too! First, I’ve learned that it matters what i do in my daily life! Nearly every spiritual experience has happened while I am praying, reading the scriptures, attending church or general conference, or watching uplifting media (like your testimony video!). That is one important reason why we regularly teach and are taught that these spiritual habits are vital in our lives. Second, I’ve learned that these experience are more frequent and numerous than I ever realized previously. Recording spiritual experiences lets the Lord know that you value His guidance and counsel. And it helps me record it in my own memory. Sharon, stay beautiful, inside and out. Your Heavenly Father is very pleased with your tenacity and your zeal for His ways and for His work. He has great things in store for you both during this life and hereafter. Best wishes, Aaron. :)

Thank you for your wonderful testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. God is truly amazing and will lead those that are seeking Him to truth. The standard of truth has been erected. No unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing; persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished and the great Jehovah shall say the work is done.

Sister Sharon, Thank you for sharing your search & finding experience. I believe The Lord, in his wisdom has people find the gospel when it's best for them. I also believe that the church needs the structure and historical knowledge of those who grew up in the church but the energy and spirit of those who didn't find the church "early" in their lives is vital to the building and strengthening of the church. And all of us as we follow the directions of our Savior, through his prophet, to gather Israel and prepare for is coming. Thank you again and stay strong on your journey. P.S. at about 6 minutes the video got better (technically) by slowing it down to 75%.

I am 84 years of age and a former Baptist Minister. I had been taught evil against Joseph Smith, Jr and the Book of Mormon. When I was 32 years old I was preaching a sermon and the Book of Mormon is not scripture, the Holy Spirit said to me "How do you know that is true!". It was not a question but a statement. I didn't so I wanted to know for myself. I acquired a Book of Mormon and took the discussions with the missionaries. The things they taught me I knew was true as it resonated with my core beliefs. I knew there had to be more, many things had to happen before the 2nd Coming of Jesus Christ. That God would not leave us in this quandary of doctrine and detonations. God is one and has one doctrine and one Church. My wife opposed me even talking to Mormons, I told her I study and ponder and ask God if it is True. You should ask God if it is true. She did and came running out of the bedroom, all excited and said she was praying and asked God if the Book of Mormon was true and she said" a light appeared in the room and a voice said "Your husband is seeking to serve God, follow him", she was 100% converted and I baptized her and our 2 sons the next week. My father was angry and said Mormons are not Christian, I said dad they are Christian, have you read the Book of Mormon, no. I pestered him and mon for months and he came to me and said, "Ronnie we'll read the Book of Mormon if you will leave us alone". He and mom came to me and said "We know the Book of Mormon is true and we want to join the Church. Several years later dad was the Bishop of the Ward and mon was the Relief Society President. I was on the High Council and also the Ward and Stake Organist. We have been faithful members for 52 years. I am married to my wife 66 years and we were Sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in 1972. My wife died of Alzheimer's disease 6 months ago. She was in her 8th years in the nursing home. I visited her almost every day allowed and told her stories of her 6 siblings and mom and dad. She is an Elect Lady and I hope I will be called Home soon to join her. What joy it is to be a member of the restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the Priesthood and the Temple Blessings. Thank you sister for sharing.

@@bryankeithr16 My Father went to prison, leaving me alone with my dependent sister and chronically ill mom. The world had ended. But stress/depression can be self-medicated with many things that increase dopamine; junk food, video games, etc. And with these things, much of the time you don't feel sad, or anything. So, when you have moments of clarity, and you call out in a mighty prayer of desperation. And sudden your low to high comes, you feel a simple message I can only articulate as "everything will be okay", my sense of relief was equal to the depths of my sorrow. @@bryankeithr16 It was a more personal revelation than a universal message. I would think a revelation about whether I'll be okay wouldn't help another. But I can prescribe my method as being reliable. Find some time, privacy, and determination. Speak out loud, Start talking and try not to stop until you find satisfaction. Pour yourself out. Start with some highly detailed contrition. Talk about your worries or hopes. If you want an answer, make sure a question is on your mind until you feel enlightened. Brother Martin is an institute teacher in Provo, Utah (and he is also involved in many other things if you get to know him.) I met him and his wife while attending institute there. He and his wife invited me over to their house for dinner every Sunday night, the same night that all their other adult children would come for a weekly visit. A full house! One of the first nights I came over, Brother Martin asked me what my story was, and patiently listened to me tell my life story. There is a quote that describes how I felt during that time, and ever after. “A child can be the object of much affection, and still not feel loved. Feeling loved and being heard are so similar, it’s difficult to distinguish between the two.” - Fran Stott Todd Martin really listens to you, and through that gift to others, he helps you to feel loved. He also is an incredible vessel of the spirit (power), humble, and overflowing with “the pure love of Christ.” I moved to Provo without a family member to my name, and I had only one friend who I had met a few months earlier who lived there, but we did not live in the same apartment. Brother Martin and his family became like family to me while I was living there. They let me come over as often as I had time to join them. His wife watched me pick out my wedding dress and was one of my escorts when I got sealed to my husband in the Payson, Utah Temple. My life has been blessed forever by this family!

Jesus Christ never preached adultery, but Joseph Smith was an adultery who married 11 women who had living husbands. Jesus Christ did not support slavery, while UTAH Mormons in 1852 accepted slavery and signed by 2nd president of the Mormon church Brigham Young 1847 -1877. Thank you Jane for sharing both your concern and your testimony in this comment. I too would love to receive your testimony. I'm sure it's powerful. I live in Sandy Utah. I just took my family to the Saratoga Springs temple open house this week. On our way there, contention broke out among my family. The taste of it was bitterness. Then I recognized the truth of the matter. As this lovely sister shared in her testimony, and as I have experienced several times in my life (especially when serving as a full time missionary), and as witnessed by Joseph Smith the prophet when he went into the grove of woods to pray vocally to the Lord, when we are about to either receive or share the Lord's truth in meaningful and important ways, Satan will try to prevent or ruin that experience before we can grab hold of it. Once I recognized this was happening I used that knowledge against the adversary by sharing that knowledge with my family by telling them exactly how important it is for us to be able to go visit the temple as a family (my kids are too young to go to the temple yet) and that Satan was trying to prevent us from feeling the Spirit by influencing is to contend one with another. I guess I just felt like sharing this with you to let you know that I already can feel the strength and witness of your testimony and would encourage you to share it with us publicly. Once I pointed out to my family the tactics Satan was using in an attempt to distract us from having a spiritual experience at the temple, we were able to quickly repent and ask each other for forgiveness and gain the spiritual awareness we needed to visit the temple open house. God bless you and grant unto you the strength to overcome your fear to empower you to share your testimony with us publicly!

Yes, for many people, hearing the truth feels like it was familiar or what you always knew somewhere inside. And, oh, the witness of comfort & conviction testifying of the truth. One guy on my mission in Canada, when we started to put up the plan of salvation on a chalk board & explain where we came from, why we are here & where we will be going, he jumped up, excitedly & asked if he could finish the diagram & all the pieces that explained it. He was blown away that he knew the plan, in his heart, he said that is what he always believed, but he doesn't know where he learned it, he just knew it, but could not put it into a diagram. I heard later that he did get baptized.

When I read the Book of Mormon, I followed the promise in Moroni 10"4,5 (Moroni was Mormon's son). I asked if the things I read were true, that the Lord would manifest it to me. He did....just like in the promise. When I was baptized, I felt the spirit of the Lord. Then, I was conferred to have the Holy Ghost and it was such a powerful feeling, Ive remembered it all my life-the very moment. I love the Lord, am very close to Him. He has guided me so very many times by the Holy Ghost. He told his diciples He would send the Holy Ghost to be with them when He left them. This is the same Holy Ghost that witnesses to everyone who reads The Book of Mormon and follows the Lord's promise. Thank you for sharing your testimony in such a complete and authentic way.

Learning about the restored gospel helped me to make sense of the bible. Everything seemed to just click together. Truly, the Book of Mormon and modern revelation work hand in hand with the bible. A group of friends get together every Thursday to discuss their thoughts on their Book of Mormon study for the week (they call it "Book of Mormon or Bust!). I have a feeling you'd appreciate others who enjoy deeply studying the scriptures as well. The channel is called "Zion or Bust!" (I don't think KZbin allows video links in comments, sorry). Continue being a light for others on this platform! Especially for those who don't realize the Holy Bible and Book of Mormon are meant to go together.

Hello sweet Laura! In answer to your question about the audio, yes, I did speed it up by x1.6 in the first part of the video and x1.25 in the later part of the video. When I watched the original recording, due to this being the first time recording myself like this, I felt like I was speaking too slow due to my lack of experience with these things, and didn’t want to take up too much of people’s time because I know how precious each person’s time is! I probably didn’t need to speed it up as much as I did. Hopefully you were able to understand the testimony. I appreciate your support. God bless you!!!

The Bible clearly teaches that God wants to share His glory with us 1) He wants us to overcome so He can share His glory with us: Revelation 3 21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. 22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. Revelation 2 26 The one who conquers and who keeps my works until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations, 27 and he will rule them with a rod of iron, as when earthen pots are broken in pieces, even as I myself have received authority from my Father. 28 And I will give him the morning star. 29 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. 2) We are His children Psalms 82 1 God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: 6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you John 10 34 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said, you are gods’? 35 If he called them gods to whom the word of God came-and Scripture cannot be broken- The word used for Gods in Psalms 82 is "Elohim." Look at verses 1 and 6 in the interlinear Bible, which has the Hebrew and English word by word (Note, Hebrew reads right to left): biblehub.com/interlinear/psalms/82.htm Also the word for "gods" lower case "g" in John 10 is Theoi in Greek, which means actually gods like the Greeks would have called their gods. We are children of God, even "sons of the Most High" as stated in Psalm 82. Acts 17 29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device. Hebrews 12 9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh who corrected us, and we gave them reverence. Shall we not far rather be in subjection unto the Father of Spirits, and live? 3) Beware people who abuse the Holy word of God Also, beware relying on just one verse, or those who try to force you to do so. Satan quoted scriptures to Jsus trying to lead Him into sin. Satan told Him it was written that if He would cast Himself from the temple, angels would bare Him up because of some scriptural passages. But Satan was trying to trick Jesus into forgetting ANOTHER passage that said "Thou shalt not tempt the Lord your God." The bible has passages that will lead you astray if you take just the verse in isolation. John 1 [18] No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. Compare with: Exodus 33 11 And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle. Isaiah 6:1 1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Ezekiel 1 26 ¶ And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it. Acts 7 55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, 56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. 57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, 58 And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul.

Hello Lillian, have you read the document that I wrote of scriptures from the Bible that correlate with the restored doctrine? I put the link in the comment above. I cannot ignore my knowledge of these verses. The churches I used to attend taught the “pure milk” (1 Peter 2:2) of the word, that allowed me to grow into salvation. The church of Jesus Christ goes beyond that, and teaches the “spiritual meat” of God that Paul longed to preach, but could not, because the people of God were not ready at that time. As it says in Hebrews 5:11-end, 6:1-3 “11 About this we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. 12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, 13 for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child. 14 But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.” 6, “1 Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, 2 and of instruction about washings, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. 3 And this we will do if God permits.” If I were to say the most basic thing that the Bible supports that is found plainly in this church is their doctrine of Jesus Christ, or “the gospel.” They preach the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ, which is 1. to have faith in Jesus Christ for your salvation, 2. repent of your sin, 3. be baptized, 4. receive the gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands, and 5. endure to the end. This is the doctrine of Christ as preached by the missionaries of this church. All of this is supported by the Holy Bible. I won’t deny the Word of God, as God has revealed it to me in the Bible, and I will not deny the voice of my Good Shepherd, who has spoken to me throughout my life and still does now. I have never trusted feelings. If I did, I would be living in sin. As it is, I trust Jesus Christ and the Truth revealed to my heart step by step. God bless you too, Lillian Cooley.
