Hello everyone! I hope you're doing well 💕
I finally got around to redrawing this old crossover I made in 2016… time really does fly. Seven years ago? That’s wild.
When the Miraculous movie came out and I watched it for the first time, I got to relive the love I had for this show years ago. Even though the difference in their talking/singing voice threw me off (if you’ve watched the movie in English you know what I’m talking about), I loved every second of it. Afterwards, I got really motivated to get started on the redraw, aaand here we are! :)
When I started working on this, I wanted to challenge myself with the shading to see how much I've improved since the original drawing - and it took me just about as long as I thought it would. :skull_crossbones: I got stuck for a little while, but eventually got it done! I really like the outcome and definitely want to try shading like this more often!
I didn’t add Ladybug’s wings from the original because I felt like it didn’t fit with the composition & that way she’s matching with Chat being an earthpony as well :)

I LOVE YOUR ART!!! It’s so amazing! I love the way that the anatomy is slightly anthro so that there’s more fluidity to the poses. I also just absolutely adore how you sketch and draw wings. I also love the way you draw the hooves as slightly smaller than the rest of the leg. It’s so cute! I don’t watch Miraculous Ladybug, but this art piece is absolutely amazing!

Question for blits, why do you always use a darkened background for your speedpaints instead of using a white background? Is there any added benefits to it?

Yes! I use darkened backgrounds because the white ones hurt my eyes, especially when I'm drawing late at night

К сожалению эта работа мне не очень понравилась( поскольку 2 героя исчезли, у леди-баг убрали крылья + освещение сверху и тени не очень У старого арта концепция была боевая, т.е видно что они сражаются ради того, чтоб победить Бражника. А тут они просто позируют, как для обложки журнала. Сюжет арта потерялся где-то Работа выполнена как всегда хорошо. Лайн и покрас как всегда на ура, но из за этих ньюансов, мне не зашло
