According to the training, for method one it’s when you press the REC button that you capture the point, then you validate if the Record was good, which makes more sense i believe (you don’t want to misalign Your ins with one button press)

This is correct. Rec was pressed way too early in this vid. Only reason it worked is because mirage ins is bugged so that all updates are 100% accurate. If this bug were ever fixed following this procedure would leadt to inaccuracy.
