It is kind of annoying how people are always saying that because of her ponytail and glasses they didn't want yo pick her. He didn't want to pick her because she was so guarded that she wouldn't even want to talk to him and judging by the fact that his friend picked her out of all the girls, everyone knew it.

Thank you! People always assume that because that’s the stereotype, but the movie never called her ugly! She’s a loner/“lame”, never ugly. Being unpopular doesn’t mean you’re ugly and being popular doesn’t mean you’re beautiful, people just make these assumptions cause they’re conditioned by the stereotypes in society but she’s never called, referred to, or seen as ugly in the movie, just a guarded person and a “loser”

She flat out shut him down the first time he approached. So not only did he have to turn her into a prom Queen he also had to win her over...that was the challenge. That’s why she was picked she was probably the one girl in the entire school that did not like Zach
