Its so ironic that Jane Austen such a great Romantic novel author never had the true love in her life. This breaks my heart...

I didn’t like him, I liked Joe Anderson who played Jane’s dashing brother. Admittedly he’s a bit of a rake, but he is gorgeous and so charming.
@scdobserver8356 жыл бұрын
McAvoy is stunning here. Did you notice his ill concealed jealousy behind his 'righteous' anger, and when Anne's Jane said "you are leaving tomorrow", when James's Tom met her eyes, there was at first hidden rage, then realisation that his secret affection for Jane was reciprocated, and within a fraction of a second his expression softened. When Jane leaned forward to initiate a kiss, he was slightly taken aback. Such subtlety in his 'acting', it's as if he was Tom and this was a real encounter between Jane and Tom... **Applause**

This is such a beautiful movie. In the beginning it is shown that Tom falls asleep while Jane is reading a letter and she's offended and then they go through so much and in the end when she's reading a scene from her book to his daughter , she looks up and he smiles subtly and claps. Its just priceless.

Ooooooh myyyyyy gooood this was so romantic McAvoy is such an amazing actor for having the ability to make me feel so deeply about something. You can hear the insecurity in his voice when he tells her that he probably won't be the perfect husband because he's not rich but to simply fall in love right then and there and say the words "I'm yours". And the swelling music. My heart ❤❤❤ I wish I'll have a moment like that in my life.
@tayladunn74902 жыл бұрын
Don’t worry you will !! And your right the way he delivers this lines were phenomenal. He’s pouring his heart out to Jane and he looks so relived and happy he’s finally letting it all out. I swear I would’ve been crying my eyes out if he said those exact words to me. 🥰♥️🥺

I was never a fan of Jane Austen’s for most of my life, I loved the Brontë novels, but now in my fifties, she has grown on me. I got the DVD of Becoming Jane when it was released. The tragedy of the reality of her real life circumstances is deeply moving, the fact she was never able to marry. I am with Jane in the film, she could not marry without love, but I also understand the concern of her parents - her mother said it all :- “Affection is desirable. Money is absolutely indispensable.” So true.

It wasn't like that at all. Lefroy was the prototype of Mr.Darcy, not of Mr.Bingley. And, while his sisters tried to separate them, they never had financial power over Mr.Bingley like Lefroy's uncle did.

I will say it to Anne Hathaway as Jane that i love her and i will marry her. I will put my hand in her hand, and we'll stand forever.
