My father is a Narcissist. Legit, diagnosed with Narcissistic Personality Disorder. This is what people like that do. She constantly flip-flops from "I made mistakes-I'm so sorry" to "I'm such a victim; pity me, pity me!" For those who don't know, that's the point. The human mind can only handle so much information at once. By constantly throwing different details, stories, perspectives, narratives, what have you; she's overloading your brain to the point that you don't know what is real or not. Even Brett herself (love you btw you're a refreshing voice of a generation), wants to believe Colleen's statements of self-accountability. But then changes gears, 90 degree left turn to self-victimization. This is a deliberate tactic. Thankfully, there is a tell. There is a way to break through the noise: her statements of self-victimization are louder than her statements of self-accountability. She is much more emotive when she self-victimizes than when she says she made a mistake. She spends more time saying how people are being unfair to her than how she was unfair to others. THAT is the key. For anyone who hasn't had the misfortune of dealing with people like Colleen, I hope this helps you deal with actual Narcissists in your own life.

Brett I think you are giving Colleen more than credit for this video than she deserves. Any moments in this ‘apology’ video that can be perceived as genuine are completely undermined by her complete lack of seriousness and her bold nerve to sing about the ‘toxic gossip train’ and consistently pointing out the end of her reputation and how she feels attacked. Also what’s the point in making her shows PG 13 but she allows ALL AGES at her shows…so when she is spreading legs of teenagers on her stage at live shows there is absolutely much younger audience members being exposed to that kind of content. However she does have a point about parents playing a bigger role in allowing their children to watch her content in the first place. Overall, her apology feels so passive aggressive and manipulative. Just the fact that she is saying it’s rumors and lies but then admits she make mistakes and that she’s only human, it’s abundantly clear how she personally feels and her feelings are clearly the only ones that seem to matter to her. It’s pointless to preach about the toxicity of cancel culture when she is a prime example of why people lean into cancel culture so easily these days.

Also Colleen had talked to Adam and other minors in detail about her sex life, divorce, and other adult topics. In the past few weeks, Adam has made more videos about the topic, and provided more reciepts. Kodee Tyler made a video announcing she didn't want to be friends with Colleen anymore, which at first was well recieved by Adam until it was exposed that the video was entirely self-serving for Kodee. Kodee later went on a livestream fake crying and manipulating her audience and tbh it's kinda funny like the Laura Lee apology video lol.

As someone who has watched her videos since I was in college back in 09-11, who’s family grew at the same time as hers, to say I’m disappointed is so far beyond an understatement. I was a music major, and a vocalist at that. Her videos started out with her pretending to do everything wrong as a vocalist, but acting as if it was the exact way you’re supposed to sing, and my friends and I thought it was hysterical. There was a few years I didn’t watch her as much because I found her ex husband weird, and creepy, but when she left him, and went back to how she used to make her Miranda videos I started watching again. A few years ago, when some of the accusations are out about what she’d messaged a kid about, and a few other things, she seemed genuinely remorseful, and like she’d understood she’d unintentionally crossed boundaries, but she’d do better from then forward. Well, come to find out now, there was a lot more going on, with even more young people, and she’d sent her fans to attack the first kid that had come out with his accusations. That’s not okay, and she completely just ignores all of that, and calls it toxic gossip. It’s not! I’m a mom first, and I’m a person who also experienced CSA, and even though she didn’t physically hurt children, her verbal, and written actions definitely did. I gave her the benefit of the doubt the first time, but this is just too much. It would have been better for her to not say anything at all, and I agree with people who are saying she really should have listened to her team. I feeling for her children, and her husband, but as far as she is concerned, she really needs to just do nothing but listen to her team, and not say anything else.

Far too many of these social media "stars" have been caught doing this sort of thing and it's disturbing. Makes you wonder how much isn't reported because the victims are afraid or ashamed of what happened to them? I hope all of the victims can find peace and live happy lives and Colleen gets criminally charged for the crimes she committed.

She could’ve handled this so much better, if she took the parts in her song that actually gave us some information and gave us sympathy, and put that into a song or a video. Like Brent said I don’t think she had any bad intentions (or atleast I hope so) but the way she’s handling this is horribly immature. She said multiple times that she makes mistakes and she always tries to grow from them, but whenever she’s so close to admitting she was in the wrong, she completely ruins it by making it seem like it was just rumors or gossip even though there is actual proof. Humans are gonna be human and make mistakes, but also it’s important as humans, as people that we acknowledge when we do something wrong and that helps us grow from it. I highly doubt people would actually listen to her even if she did make a good apology (because no matter how many times you apologize people are always gonna hate) but it would be a good start. Not writing a cringe song and trying to make it look like YOUR the victim, when it was the children. Also is no one gonna talk about how she’s trying to excuse her actions because she’s a “looser” and “weird” and “quirky”, or am I the only one who thought that.
