My prediction is endeavour dies in a fight with dabi (not a spoiler very common prediction since forever) in some sort of redemption arc, and midoriya does for mirio what mirio did for him here (stall in whatever confrontation could be happening until mirio gets his quirk back and saves everyone/becomes the new no.1) If they have Deku at no.1 before year 3 I'd be triggered personally. Some people say mirio would be too strong for deku to ever surpass but his weaknesses where shown perfectly here. He can tire out. He can't make other people impermeable. He isn't as fast or strong so there would be some natural counters to him. Let him shine

8:00 I see a lot of reactors fail to understand this part and ask "why doesn't he just leave?" Where is he going to go? He can't go through walls with Eri and the way he came from is behind Overhaul. As we see moments after, Overhaul's speed (which is quite good) doesn't matter when his quirk can easily just demolish the whole hallway and then put them all in a box. If Mirio had tried to run, he would've still ended in the exact same situation. The whole tension of the episode comes from the fact that mirio is handicapped because of Eri, while Overhaul & co. can do whatever they want.

To be fair, the adaptation was almost perfect, the animation was very good, not the best, but it is still good and the soundtrack was amazing as always. The slide show was something added in the anime and its purpose was to give more excitement and show a bit of the fight that was omitted in the manga, so I don't know why other manga readers are so upset about it as if it were the studio's duty to add 5 minutes of full animation about something that even the mangaka didn't want to show.

i know this reaction is ages old and you'll not see this comment but i have to say it anyway. Mirio is one of my favorite anime characters of all time. I've watched over 200 anime in total and it's really really really hard to find a character as well written and emotionally strong as Mirio Togata. It makes me want to make an anime with HIM as the protagonist. Remember how Aizawa mentioned that Mirio is the closest person to the number 1 spot amongst all existing heroes? we get to see that this episode. If Mirio was proper hero who had already graduated from UA, he might have been ranked number 1 after All Might's retirement. He was stronger than the whole Shie Hassaikai. Even without his quirk, he was stronger than Chisaki. The only reason Mirio lost was because he was struggling to protect Eri. If Eri wasn't there, Mirio would have won, even without using his quirk to the fullest. That's absolutely insane.

Spoiler alert from manga , he lost his quirk permanently.. But they may be a chance that when eri controlled her quirk she may be able to reverse it.. Also deku vs chisaki, you'll have goosebumps..
