As an automation engineer, this is a very neat _hobbyist_ product and I might even be interested For mini robots you can actually expect to see on the production floor, check out something like the Fanuc LR-Mate or its new CRX series (other brands have similar options too). The reliability, repeatability, speed, and integration with existing industrial controllers (not to mention cost!) is orders of magnitude higher

@@adisharr I take part in the French, Belgian and Swiss robotics cups. The games require handling all sorts of items and carrying them other places. We design or retrofit arms for our robots each year. There are hundreds of competitors each year. That's a lot of arms. As a means of production, I could definitely use it to package loose dropshipped items into nice little boxes, for example. No precision required, could also save a lot of time. That's just off the top of my head.

Why not use brushless motors with encoders? Stepper motor technology is old and heavy and from what i can see there is no position feedback. How is this going to be industrial without position feedback ? I like the desing but i preffer servo motors over steppers, as i build alot of robots with stepper motors i know what i am talking about. Currently i am working on a real servo controlled 6-axis robot and i see the benefits over steppers everywhere. Anyway good luck with your project looking forward to the finished product.
