0:38 Don't forget: he's the record goal scorer in FIFA World Cup history. 16 goals in 24 World Cup games. He's also Germany's national team's record goal scorer with 71 goals in 137 matches. Which means he's also played the 2nd most games for the German national team, only exceeded by Lothar Matthäus. Miroslav Klose is probably the most underrated worldclass (and always fair sportsman) striker of this still young century. Edit: thanks for the correction, Simon.

What I really like about Klose is the way he improved on his overall skills and capability over his long career. He was a way much better striker in 2006 World Cup vs he just showed up in 2002 WC. If he started his WC career from 2010 or 2014, Germany for sure will have more than one WC and zero EC

Its insane to see that he could have easily been an active player for a longer amount of time than he has been. His technical abilities and his pressing intelligence would have made it easy for him to transform intro an amazing attacking midfielder after he started loosing the pace and physicality necessary to play as a striker
Was it pen? I thought he told ref about a goal he scored with hand by mistake and ref still counted it

Just a father not letting his son(s) have it too easy. Or, alternatively but also fitting for Miroslav Klose, a good coach who doesn't want his players to fall too easily. We all want the kids to keep playing so we'd rather say "nah, no pen, keep it going" and move on. :D
