I agree. Sometimes I sit and cry to music from my past, especially this, thinking back to the year this game came out. What a different time period, life in general felt different back then, I was much happier then I am now, a depressed, self loathing, existentialist, nihilist and pessimistic person, stuff I never really thought about back when this game came out but I guess life gets you down, some more then others. I felt free back then, not a care in the world. Growing up really changed me and life has got me jaded now compared to this era. Being aimless for years hasn't helped because life is nonsensical and I can't shake that whether or whatever I do. What I wouldn't give to go back to this era.... I'd give almost anything... restarting my life again with hindsight and a sense of purpose.

I love this fucking game so goddamn much, like I remember exactly where I was when I first discovered it, and then my journey through it, being so mesmerized by the world it was created in, all the characters and backstory, all of it. It's a game that can never be replicated, like IMHO there's really nothing like the original, and while Catalyst was amazing, it still didn't come close to the pure awe and nostalgia trip of the original...UGH, take me back, Faith! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I even remember buying parkour esque shoes and playing this song as loud as I could, and just parkouring through my city at night. Such a surreal time in my life, and I'm so glad I got to be a part of it all.

I love your writeup on what the game made you feel and how it marked your life in such a deep way. It did the exact same for me. Just the first note of this song brings it all back. My story with this song was that it got me into fitness, i was 15, running at 4am in the morning with my friend, the gift at the end was watching the sunrise at a local skate park where we ended our runs, those were simpler times.

Easily my favorite EA published game of all time, and while I like Army of Two and Brütal Legend a lot, Mirror's Edge 1 is just fantastic in so many ways. I feel like it's free running is better than Assassin's Creed, while being super immersive, and the soundtrack is amazing by Solar Fields.

@@calebnewton3577 definitely good, just a shame it only got to be a single game, with no followup ever happening... It was a title that had A LOT of potential if they kept with it, but then again, I doubt modern EA would be a good fit for that at all.

i think we all agree that this game may have half the audience of a normal fps shooter but we as loving fans would be willing to pay normal price x2 because this is art and we understand that. I hope the third installment is in the works...
