CoralStar was used in this project with blessing from their creator, Squeaky! The entire song was written by Sampling Kid and I; I contributed the lyrics and melody, and Samples composed the instrumentals, mixed and mastered, and edited the vocals. CoralStar's vocals were provided by Spla2ner using the UTAUs aaiauea (Riva) and nanahira (Lumi). The illustration was made by Bunniiangell.

THE TIMING- I just finished reading through Project Splatoon 3 like three days ago, what are the odds!

When I was reading Squeaky's concept of Splatoon 3 back in the day, I really loved it and how unique it was from the first 2 games. Looking at it now, though, makes me feel salty that this awesome idea was never used as a real concept. Don't get me wrong, canon Splatoon 3's story is also unique, but Squeaky's version takes it to a whole other level altogether. Using the Salmonids as basic enemies in each level? Creating a whole other type of species inspired by sharks called Makoids? Having Pearl and Marina be actually bosses we fight against? Getting to play as Callie and Marie? New playable species called Harelings inspired be sea slugs? HELL YEAH!!! While there are things that were inspired by Squeaky's concept to the official game (Shiver's shark Master Mega was likely inspired by the Makoids. Marina, being a boss in Side Order, was likely inspired by Marina being a boss in Phase 2 of Squeaky's story mode). Even though it would've been cool if Squeaky's concept WAS the official Splatoon game, it's still nice that there's subtle hints of it in the official version. Now that the official Splatoon 3 is the "end of an Era" installment in the trilogy, I think Squeaky's Splatoon 3 could still be utilized, but with a few little tweaks for Splatoon 4, because let's be honest, the Splatoon franchise is very lucrative and I doubt Nintendo will just leave it to rest with just the original trilogy. But even if it doesn't happen, I still think someone should make a fangame of Squeaky's Splatoon 3 concept. I'd definitely play it People who agree with me: 👇
