Hi Natalia. Thanks for the great video. I have a very small kitchen and have a mirror facing the back garden. I recently had a pergola built, and im wondering if the beams are an issue, now that the mirror is reflecting those? It's also reflecting my sink and countertop bins...? Thanks for your help 🙏

These are all good questions, Jacqueline, but because I can't see it, I cannot tell you whether it is too sharp or unpleasant to see. I assume that the mirror brings the light in from the outside and makes your kitchen bigger. That's the positive part. Your pergola is probably beautiful, otherwise you would not put it, right? Questions to ask your self would be how does it makes you feel? Are there too many sharp lines? Is the area around the sink is clean and uncluttered? Are the bins looking pleasant to you?

Another wonderful video!! I have a large antique mirror with patina and aged texture on the glass, in a hand carved goldleaf frame. I love its aesthetic, but I am curious if the glass not being clear/bright from its age has implications energetically? Thank you :)

Good question, but it's hard for me to judge without seeing it. Tune in and feel what kind of feeling it creates for you? It can be very subtle. Do it a few times when you pass by. If it is positive leave it where it is. If not so positive, move it somewhere where you don't see yourself in it all the time, but it might be still a useful decor item.

Mirrors are placed not in a specific direction but to bring natural light, enlarge the room or multiply something good that you want to see more of. Generally mirrors are not good in bedrooms. I discuss all of these points and more in the video.

Mirrors are active, they bounce energy around the room, potentially disturbing the calm, stable energy that you want to create in a sitting area. On a practical level, mirrors are usually heavier than pictures and if not securely attached, can be a hazard. Lastly, when facing the sofa, isn't it better to see an inspiring piece of art than your own reflection? And I don't mean that seeing yourself is not inspiring 😄

All of this makes sense to me and is consistent with my experience, except for the mirror reflecting diners. Watching yourself eat is a distracting experience, not a relaxing one, in my opinion. It would be fine if the mirror were high enough so that people did not see themselves when sitting down at the table.

Hi I want to place a mirror in the entry way (perpendicular to door/on the wall). The reflection is my kitchen cabinet and some part of my fridge. Is this ok?

It doesn't sound ideal, but if the view doesn't bother you it's okay then.

If your question is if rectangular or oval mirrors are okay to hang vertically, then, yes, it is certainly okay.
