I really like that black Range Rover! Finally one of those SUVs being used for what it's made to do! Great video as usual, keep up the good work.

One of your most stunning videos! Features both rocks and mud ruts. I know it's silly, but I must admit I was glad to see Toyota fail where Disco sailed through smoothly :-) Big fan of yours!

Thanks mate - always lots of carnage on these tracks. Can get a little hectic in some sections.

Misadventure 4WD No doubt about that. You seem to always get out of this intact :-) Great work guys. Both informative and a treat for one's eyes.

The Disco is definitely the best to watch and listen to of the bunch imo.

It is a very old landcruiser to be fair and it often surprises us just where it will go with next to no mods. The new 200 series is a serious bit of kit.

Call in to the Service Station at the top of the gap then head towards Sydney. Just as you leave the Service Station heading south, you'll see a dirt track just off the main road. Up there to the hill climb and then down the hill taking your first left down into the valley.

There are a range of tracks around Sugarloaf and a few chicken tracks around most of the hard lines. I'd recommend going with a friend and trying a few different lines to see what your vehicle is capable of. Once you know it's limit's you'll have a better idea of what you should have a go at and what you should drive around.

Surprised how well the Dynapro ATMs worked in mud. I've got a set of 33x12.5 on my Pajero NM. Only tried them in snow so far.

This is more like Freemans gap than Sugarloaf. Where you came out is Palmers road if I'm not mistaken. That would be Awaba state forest. I once broke a rear uni joint on my old yellow 87 Hilux up there.

A lot of it is due to the emission requirements for domestic diesels. UK spec diesels do not meet U.S. requirements.

Great vid lads but ouch on the disco 2. How often do you replace ball joints etc?
@Misadventure4WD10 жыл бұрын
Repairs are a constant when you do this kind of thing week in and week out. It's an expensive hobby
@Focusing_on_the_light10 жыл бұрын
Yeh but a great hobby. In the Uk there is constant pressure from people wanting to close down the green lanes to stop off roading. Sad really.

Awesome footage of the Rangerover sport. What winch was on it? Any modification needed to install it?
@Misadventure4WD5 жыл бұрын
It's a specific warn winch designed for this model RRS and custom front mount available only through Land Rover
@jacobnel18805 жыл бұрын
My RRS has this winch, looks like a modified front cross member was installed so no easy/cheap mod.

Where'd you get the sump guard and winch fitted?

Sump guard was an aftermarket unit I ordered from LR. The winch kit is also special order LR unit that I got from the UK.

Do you have the 3.0l or 2.7? From memory you'll need to modify the brakes on the 3.0 to run 18 inch rims.

What engine has the Range rover sport??
@Misadventure4WD6 жыл бұрын
It's the 2.7 diesel that they ran throughout the D3/RRS model from 2007 through to 2013. It's also basically the same engine that Ford pinched to run in the Ford territory.

I am in love with the Black RR Sport why the hell can't Americans have nice toys like this, all we get is the shitty Gas Trucks, no diesels. And let me tell you this, every time i have asked for one they tell me there just is not a market for diesel in the US. My response is BULLSHIT!
@Misadventure4WD12 жыл бұрын
It's all politics over there mate tied up with fuel companies and manufacturers who don't want to have to change and would rather you drive around in gas guzzling technology that is way past it's use by date.
