A follow up to the Nurgle Diaries series where I make a Warhammer army from the ground up. This is a weird cult/lovecraft themed army I hope to use for future tabletop games.

Here's an idea to reuse the imperfections if you haven't recycled them already: use the imperfect models still as part of either army. Add some details like tentacles, exposed rancid flesh, mark those suckers up, make them look like being part of the cult takes away your humanity in exchange for making them "perfect" in the eye of their chosen deity. Could be a neat way to reuse the failed attempts and adds on to what you learned. :)

Oh my, this stuff is super fun. I got into this when I picked up a similar printer during quarantine and use mostly Blender as well, and that pushing and pulling and testing like you said can take forever, but it is so satisfying to get the finished figure out! I've been doing mostly remixes, which is basically digital kitbashing, but even then getting everything just right and just so proportioned for that weird ratio warham figs are in can be a bit grindy at times, but at least the test prints can help fill out an army. Can't wait to see more of this and your other projects yo!

Little tip trent, when you remove the supports, do it in warm water. It helps remove excess IPA fluid as well as weakening the area where the supports attach to the mini allowing them to come off cleaner. Chuffed for you though mate, looks ace!

In blender sculpting mesh filters are really good to get those hard stylized creases in cloth relatively quickly

Well done - great work! I love the idea of the aesthetic. I know Khorne and Nurgle get the most fan love, but I've always preferred Tzeentch & Slaanesh. IMO, both are a much more interesting, nuanced, and insidiously terrifying incarnation/aspect of evil.

This sounds like an awesome idea for a 40k army, to bad when the rubric marines codex or chaos space marines codex drops you cant play them strictly cultist as a troop choice unless you bring a core unit choice for every cultist unit
