Thing about that is, there was a serious "know your place" element to the idea of hubris. It wasn't so much not being arrogant, as it was trying to be anything you weren't already. Most of the stories that lasted long enough publicly to get written down were heavily weighted in support of the existing orders of the time. So every myth with the element of hubris was really telling people rebellion against the temples and whatever form of city leaders was basically pointless and doomed to failure. These are the people who made Prometheus, the creator of mankind, the bad guy in his own story for giving humans fire and with it civilization. That's not to say that the myths are entirely without merit, but Greek myths particularly made a habit out of revising local folklore into a larger pantheon by way of socio-political revisionism, and character modification.

Okay I have a question: Why not date Apollo? I know everyone that he ends up falling for ends up dead like they said in the video but so far it doesn't seem to be his fault, they either commit suicide (for....some reason I guess?) Or in that one case that one God got jealous and killed him (which I can't accept Apollo didn't kick Zypher's ass for.) So really none of it is really his fault. Otherwise I might have suggested Hephaestus, sure he's not really a looker from most renditions but he's not a murderous psychopath either, problem is he did try to get rather frisky with Athena without her consent one time and I'm not one to suggest hooking up with rapists. Now for girls.....yeah not a lot of options they're either not interested in love or already married, If you somehow managed to find and restore Echo back to her old self she seems nice enough but those are some big ifs.

I thought up two ace routes if anyone has any ideas to branch off of these I'd love to hear them! My two ideas are the shipper route and the nice girl/boy/person who listens, depends on which way you’d like to take it. So in the shipper route you can team up with Aphrodite and find all the ships (gay or otherwise) and you become besties with Aphrodite by the end, also may include: picking which god/mortal you help with their love life, having Zeus flirt with you and have Aphrodite smack him across the face, and accidentally starting the Trojan war. Some achievements are: All is fair as long as your ship sails, Shipping war, poor Apollo, the ship has sailed, and shipping besties. The second route is that you're Dionysus' right-hand man/woman/person and every god and mortal whose love life goes downhill (Apollo is there a lot) comes to Dionysus' bar and just complains, if you can get every god/mortal to get back out into the world of love you win! If not you get to feel sad about it for the rest of your life, some achievements include: a shoulder to cry on, careful with that sword, Apollo's garden, no thanks, bro, and the bachelor party. These are just random ideas that popped into my head and I probably put way to much thought into this, hope you enjoyed all of this.

How would one unlock the achievements you listed? I can probs guess that 'Shipping War' is accidentally causing the Trojan war, but I'm not sure about the other ones. If you don't have them all decided, might I suggest that 'All is Fair as Long as Your Ship Sails' consists of breaking up a "canonical" couple (like Achilles/Patroclus, Eros/Psyche, Hades/Persphone, etc), or other such unethical things to get a ship together? Also achievement suggestions: #'Nice Going Casanova': Fail to get a ship together, #'Romeo/Juliet': Pair a couple together, only for them to die at the end (Achilles/Patroclus would be an easy way to get this achievement)

There are a few versions of the story of Narcissus. One version goes with the idea that Narcissus fell in love with his own face because he was in love with his twin sister. But when his sister died, his reflection was the closest thing he had to being able to see his beloved sister's face again. He knew it wasn't actually her, but it was the closest he could ever get. Also, I seem to remember some versions of the story have Narcissus' parents ask an oracle if he'll have a long, healthy life shortly after his birth. The oracle basically says if he doesn't come to 'recognize himself', he'll live a long time. Apparently seeing his reflection in the water was the first time he 'recognized himself', and so he didn't live a long life (he was about 15 when he died).

Me playing the dating sim: *Dates Theseus, knowing he's a tool, solely so I can open up the Dionysus path* Sure I'll help you kill the minotaur. Theseus: I love you. When I kill the beast, I'll take you back to my kingdom with me like you asked. I promise. Me: Hahaha sure, buddy. Now hurry up and take this string, I got a wine god to date.

The ad for this vid is for a narcissist behavior help video. Ironic.

No it coincidental, it would be ironic if the ad was about being modest

Note: Nemesis is also sometimes considered an aspect of Aphrodite and is a divine epithet of Aphrodite. Basically an alter ego for when Aphrodite gets mad or someone‘s a total jerk when it comes to love or romance. That’s why some stories say Aphrodite punishes Narcissus

You can totally date Dionysus. You just need to be dumped on a deserted island by the hero who slew the Minotaur first!

Artemis: "Gotta say, I don't normally pay attention to love stuff, but that punishment was a work of art, Nems. Holy crap, that was so cruelly ironic. You do not pull any punches when it comes to revenge, do you?" Nemesis: "Never have, never will. Not like you're any slouch in that department either, Arty. Getting a guy's hounds to rip him apart 'cause he peeped on you while you were bathing? Us-damn. I took notes." Artemis: "I mean, I did turn him into a stag first..." Nemesis: "Then it was even better than I thought!" Athena, pinching the bridge of her nose: "The world is not ready for you two working together..."
