I had the final bosses' number back in the day. Had the timing down perfect, was dash jumping into the attacks to get the shake or rocket punch quicker. Even positioning myself correctly to force the AI to put the boss into the attack I wanted. Only bad part was the RNG nature of the rocket punch, when the boss moves around. Generally, he does initially move to his right, so aiming for the left shoulder like OP did was the safest bet, otherwise you lose time.

Anyone else feel like the boss battles went downhill after Lunar Alpha? Dont get me wrong, I still like to battle Merco and the final boss, but to me Lunar Alpha was the most epic boss battle in the game. Also took me the longest to finally get the gold gem in his fight.

Tarus was more of throwing him and his Sasquatch Beta mech at him Merco was a Brawler and his Phoenix Fight felt like a vertical version of Cerberus Alpha Lunar was predictable however his Cerberus Alpha was a high speed battle and he always kept attacking you, the fight was epic and you can do things you really couldn't know about til now like blocking Lasers with your fist and chucking missiles from a distance while you're on a Cat Clancer riding a missile.

The two bosses I consistently struggle with beating damageless in this game are Cerberus A and Phoenix G. Cerberus Alpha is absolutely the hardest one though. The main problem with Phoenix Gamma is that avoiding the drill in the first phase while you're trying to yank the spear off of Merco can be awkward and the second phase can screw you over randomly. But really, all you have to do is get one good run and then just position yourself right when the rockets start flying. Cerberus Alpha's second phase is ridiculously hard to do without taking a hit, and it just comes down to dumb luck. To this day I have no idea how to do that fight consistently and it takes dozens of attempts before I break through that second phase.

Underrated game is the most underrated game ever. I love this game. The way the game is done. The way strange creatures are drawn. Cool Boss fight. Mini boss music BOOOM explosion sound. And Android Z Clone Marina match. 30:02 I love when you fight Merco and whenever one of your attacks make contact with him and inflicts damage he goes "ah!"; and says it like you just ripped off a Band-aid kinda hard, or he took a bite of slightly hot soup, or he kinda bumped his knee on his computer desk lmao. For taking a missle to to the dome, or having a sword thrusted at him by a rocket powered cyborg (or cybot); he sure makes it sound like he feels just enough pain to consider it a minor annoyance. I always liked pulling Sasquatch Beta's tank turret upwards when it prepares to shoot and the shot lands right on top of Taurus causing massive damage. His second stage was so disappointing though. Wayyyyyyyy too easy. If things go right, you can beat the stage in a minute or just a few seconds over. Meanwhile, Cerberus Alpha and Phoenix Gamma were absolutely EPIC boss battles!

The final boss in this game. The concept of combining the three powerhouses, transforming into thier final forms, then fusing them to make a fucking MEGAZORD ... This game seriously needs a modern day remake man. It could be released as is, and even today be a smash hit. Imagine if they rebooted the graphics and evolved it to present day processing power... Would be absolutely a game changer (literally lol). As long as the original team was in charge with no corperate woke interference and they stayed committed to the true nature and style of the game; It would be a masterpiece as is the OG '64 version. Btw love the long super epic transformation in final MegaZord fight. With super badass moves and buildup... Just to get snatched up by the leg by Marina, and slammed back n forth off the pavement like a ragdoll 😂😂😂. Marina is the GOAT of this Galaxy

You know there’s a better way to do both gorilla fights… in the first fight, you’re supposed to grab his fist as he tries to punch you, and then throw him past you. As for Sasquatch Beta, while it’s in tank form, you can grab the cannon while it’s charging and jet upward. Doing that will force it to aim straight up, and since its shot is affected by gravity…

This game had straight up SNES graphics . I remember when I got this game as a kid , after I saw it I wanted to return it because of how bad it looked and they wouldn't let me. Electronic Boutique at the time had this rule that you couldn't return games once they were open. The only thing good about this game was the boss fights and the fact that you could literally grab everything
