Misconception: Is Indoor Air Affected by the Crawl Space

thanks dude for sharing, surprisingly not everyone can pay people to do everything for them. your helping countless amounts of people like me. major major mold problem. ive now learned to remove all the fiberglass insulation from my crawl space and keep it out. ive got enough money and friends to help suit up and go in there and remove the contaminants. and ill be able to live a healthier life. i never would of thought removing all my fiberglass insulation down there would be a BENEFIT. but mold versus the house maybe being a little colder. sold

@@Saint696Anger thanks never heard of that. gonna go look it up. i was considering getting a 400 dollar fumigation fogger but for that price i might just remove the insulation and see what happens. it cant get worse at that point

Question for CS Ninja along these lines. When you abate mold in crawlspace and living area, then properly encapsulate CS as you've trained us. It seems important to "scrub" the living space air with 10-100X air turnovers with clean air intake and HEPA filter trap? Especially in cold climates with windows closed during late spring/winter.

I’m in Michigan, convinced my zoning police to allow a crawl on pole barn construction.. 1st in their county, happy for that, but due to delays from weather, covid yada yada I can 100%tell you an encapsulated crawl is the way to go, it’s musty although dry, it’s cold and damp. Once I finish my crawl it will be like a live-able space because it’s directly underneath my “liveable” space , don’t cut corners😉

Issue we are having is the back part of my house where the 3 bedrooms are, mold/mildew is growing in the closets, on shoes and clothes. We just can’t figure it out. We ordered a bedroom dehumidifier but when it’s warm or humid outside, becomes humid in the house.

Gunner Guy, keeping the crawl space dry should fix the humidity in the house unless there is a leak in that wall from the outside. You might want to make sure that an outside leak isn't the culprit.

Hi, could you help me? I'm having a problem finding out what the correct material to use for an outdoor crawlspace. The space is too small for most contractors to willingly go under the house and replace and i don't want to use the blow in foam. Any information you can send me i'd appreciate it as I have a friend who is going to help me install once we are certain what materials we should use. Thank you.

Are you wanting to insulate or control moisture or both? Insulation, Insulbarrier may be a good solution for low, small crawl spaces and it is a vapor retarder. Have you seen it: diy.crawlspaceninja.com/insulation-vapor-barrier/

I want to insulate for heat, and keep mice out as i think they're getting in from under the house. I don't know anything about moisture but i assume I'd want to avoid that too from the bottom up? @@CrawlSpaceNinja
