I always tape the disposer key to a drain pipe under the sink with some black electrical tape. Always handy when you need it.

13:55.......I have replaced many of these that have cracked just like this. They seem to be made of resin and perhaps they crack from age? A tenant fixed his with JBWeld and it held for almost a year.

The trick when using a disposal is to let the water run for a while after turning off the disposal. That keeps the particulates from causing a stoppage.

I like to put a little plumbers grease on them set screws for the next time, makes them easier to come out.

Those ISE badger disposals are a builders special. They don’t grind well and jam easy. The ISE you replaced it with is a much better model.

I don’t buy those Badger disposals any longer. The last one rusted out in less than five years and started to leak. I installed a new Waste King disposal which has a rust-proof body.

I have an Insinkarator similar to the one you installed. Seem there is no way to change a worn out rubber black flaps at the top that stops stuff from going into the grinder from the sink without removing the whole unit. Is this correct? Seems like a poor design.

Haven't had to snake a kitchen drain since getting rid of the garbage disposal. Mesh strainer does the trick.

Seen this one lady threw a whole bunch of soft dog food down the drain fucking shit was plugged SOLID! 4 hours and 1500 dollars later we were finally able to clear her sewer. Had to call for backup they brought a sewer machine out didnt leave the job till 730.
