I love this era of Mis Sigs and this looks like a great show, Karl is a fantastic frontman, Controller is an absolute masterpiece and everything about this band is exceptional, beautiful melodic guitars 1 second and breakdowns that could split the earth in 2, incredibly technical drumming and vocals that could start an earthquake, what a fucking band!

And they let Karl go... it’s crazy.. I don’t think they truly understood how good their controller era was. They talk about of malice being the “strongest lineup”... of malice was an amazing album but Karl>Jesse so easy.

My best guess is because this song was written about the deaths of members of Compromise, the band to which some of the original members of Misery Signals belonged before they were part of MS. I honestly haven't been keeping up with who is still an original member (with the exception of the drummer), but I know that Karl wasn't around during the debut album so he may not sing certain parts out of respect for the other members.

Once again I end up biting the bullet Don't act surprised, by now it's second nature It happens over and over again I only bend so far before I break And in return, nothing leaves me satisfied But it's only a matter of time Won't be long, I smell the fuse burn shorter And I'm not about to snuff it out I'll take this head on till the end Hear my voice, no cries for deliverance I've become the victim of my own defense And there's no one to blame but myself As the structure fails I'll pray for the fall out For I am what I create As the embers rise I'll be at the bottom When it all comes down I'll carry the weight of the world Strapped to my back I'll carry the weight of the world Chained to my neck I'll carry the weight of the world

Who, Karl? The guy singing in this video is Karl, he's actually the second vocalist to join the band and has recorded three of their four albums with them. Their first vocalist who was on their very first album/ep left to be an English teacher. Karl hasn't left the band, they just all have a bunch of different side projects going on.
