This car is definitely one that a driver needs time to get used to. Misha likely didn't get anything other than a basic introduction to where everything is in the car before gong out to do that lap, and you could see the difference throughout it as he slowly got used to it. I think the pause where he slowed due to the oil temp warning gave him time to let everything so far sink in, as he was notably smoother afterwards. I got the impression that the co-pilot was curious to see how Misha would adapt to such an unfamiliar and unforgiving car. It was definitely built and developed by a more old school driver that loves that raw visceral experience when driving, where you need to be "in tune" with the car to really get the most out of it.

120 oil temp is nothing, 140c is where I used to have mine set at on my 34GTR (500awkw) It was my coolant that needed the most attention. RB's especially with twin turbos don't like to get the exhaust out very easily and I suspect this could be going on here. That was a big MAP pressure for the power it looked to be pumping out. Drive pressure issues are a serious thing to consider in a turbo track car, is crucial to get this right.

They way he took his glasses at 8:00 is funny. But the car is a handful by the looks of it. The emotion of the rb and blow off valve is an epic one. Sequential gearboxes are really shit to drive. The poker- reptile face that Mr. copilot has was only changed in the first seconds when Misha had problems with braking hahaha it was something like saying "come on kid, he's an old school Japanese killer, it's not that difficult"

Imagine spending all that money to buy a really good car, than spend another god knows how much only to find you have created a bag of shit.

Maaan who is the co pilot?? the guy was so calm and relaxed, i thought he was going to fall asleep! lol. He's a boss.

Why weren't you downshifting with the clutch? In most cases that makes the downshifts smoother, especially with big heavy flywheel engines.

It’s a sequential transmission
@timcroijmans61078 ай бұрын
@@2seep so what do you mean with that? You still have to use the clutch in a lot of situations with a sequential gearbox.
@unheimliche94108 ай бұрын
@@2seep you can upshift without a clutch but shouldnt downshift without a clutch. even if you have a Dog Box lol

Even the car is slow but love how it sounds, keep repeating the video just for the sound while imagining it goes really fast

it's clear from the Hatzenbach part that the third gear is way too short I love how the guy takes his glasses out at the 8:00 minute mark, that's so funny, he's checking how fast you go heh, he certainly doesn't look impressed at 8:08 :D

Its all over the shop, braking and suspension need some serious tuning. Much slower cars will beat this with ease around any track. First time I've seen Misha nervous behind the wheel and that says it all to how badly set up this car is.

Definitely seems like a real wild beast to handle. Seems you were figuring it out just as the oil temp light came on. What a challenge !!

why would you remove abs though, all it does is make the car slower

Because late 90's ABS in a Japanese car is not meant for motorsport.
