I’m of the same opinion as you, ABS is so good now and rarely interferes in the cars you wouldn’t want it to so WHY NOT HAVE IT?! Alright yes I’ve had some close calls myself with it but not any more close than the ones I’ve had without it. It makes the car a pleasure to drive which this is severely lacking. In the end it’s not more skilful to not have abs it’s more stupid.

This car is definitely one that a driver needs time to get used to. Misha likely didn't get anything other than a basic introduction to where everything is in the car before gong out to do that lap, and you could see the difference throughout it as he slowly got used to it. I think the pause where he slowed due to the oil temp warning gave him time to let everything so far sink in, as he was notably smoother afterwards. I got the impression that the co-pilot was curious to see how Misha would adapt to such an unfamiliar and unforgiving car. It was definitely built and developed by a more old school driver that loves that raw visceral experience when driving, where you need to be "in tune" with the car to really get the most out of it.

They way he took his glasses at 8:00 is funny. But the car is a handful by the looks of it. The emotion of the rb and blow off valve is an epic one. Sequential gearboxes are really shit to drive. Most of the time you see them still use the clutch and heal and toe on downshifting. Otherwise they lock up like this in the video.

Many early day sequential and dogboxes require heeltoe and clutch like any manual car, only flat upshifts, so i dont know why many people complain about it, of course the rear also locks if you downshift two gears fast with higher rpms. 120 oil temp is nothing, 140c is where I used to have mine set at on my 34GTR (500awkw) It was my coolant that needed the most attention. RB's especially with twin turbos don't like to get the exhaust out very easily and I suspect this could be going on here. That was a big MAP pressure for the power it looked to be pumping out. Drive pressure issues are a serious thing to consider in a turbo track car, is crucial to get this right.

Co-driver looks like he's been dead for a few years but doesn't know it. Car seems to have the wrong tyres, or they need more temperature. Downshift seems to block the rear-wheels everytime. Could become a great car, but it needs a lot of work and finetuning.

Jeeeez, I've had my butt clenched the whole video. - Shifting gears seems to be so "harsh" and it tends to upset the car's stability every time - power delivery looks insanely aggressive, to the point of upsetting the rear-end if the throttle is being hit too hard, or making the tires squeak at each accelerations (even at high speed !!!) - breaking is so intense (without ABS) that the rear-end wants to pass you every fucking time... What a machine! KUDOS to you Misha for "taming" the beast in such a harsh environment!

Just needs an engine tune. Not setup for a kicker (auto-blip), so blipping on downshifts would help settle it down a lot like in my H pattern dogbox and it has a giant hole in the tune so it kept cutting out or loading up when transitioning off and on throttle

So, - the brake seems to bite too much - the powerband seems to come very late - redline is surprisingly low for a RB engine - I'm not entirely sure about the suspension setting ...I think it can be better.

misha i love your content but you have to recognize that we have always something to learn. it makes me feel curios why you didn't comment at the end of the video like always... and it is ok to accept that you drive new standards cars where technology plays a fundamental role in the overall driving experience. i have a 350Z 2004 and his TC and ABS stops working for some reason, that helped me to understand how to drive my car. RWD has more to do with traction when you go cornering, and with no traction control you need to be very smooth and accurate on the throttle. It is also about know the car and his torque and power peaks... you inspire me bro, keep pushing on your videos, it is ok to not be always the greatest drive. You still an excellent driver. Blesses!

Yes the car looks rough to drive, I wonder if some of it is down to Misha being soo use modern cars with abs and tc. Some guys like the rear bias to rotate into corners easier but definitely needs some setup changes because that thing scary. On a positive note the drivetrain seems pretty tough.

Why weren't you downshifting with the clutch? In most cases that makes the downshifts smoother, especially with big heavy flywheel engines.

The first time he hit the brakes and realized the raw feeling of no ABS 😳 in a video game, it’s different because racing without ABS is needed. IRL it’s the scariest feeling because you get used to the computers assisting your driving and then once you understand how much computers assist you in driving, most people come to realization they are not good drivers. I had a damn near heart attack the first time I experienced no ABS going too fast.

Means your rear brakes were too much in general.Proportioning valves are for fine tuning trail braking behavior, they won't fix an unbalanced system.
