Shadow company Legit sounded like a secret company within the U.S Army . Like I got that vibe from playing mw2. But Idk why mw19 made them into a mercenaries. Edit: people are saying from the get go (Mw2 original) that they were PMCs . If that’s so , it must be a big coincidence they’re all American . Besides when price and Soap are later regarded as most wanted . It makes more sense to have that status by killing American soldiers then just secret PMCs / mercs . Another person mentioned that shepherd hired them via the blank check the U.S gov gave him . There is no way Shepherd was able to hire shadow company and set up a command base in Afghanistan in one day . August 14th is when he got the blank check . August 15th is when we first see shadow company in the boneyard in Afghanistan, same with the end of the mission on “loose ends” . August 16th is when price and soap enter site bravo to kill Shepherd. Again I just think , like TF 141 . Shadow company was shepherd’s personal company in the U.S army made up of elite soldiers he chose. Realistically if they were mercs , they wouldn’t be so official you know , they’ll be wearing they’re own clothes and gear . Not in uniformity. Like who wears all black with tan in the Desert area of Afghanistan.

A break has three primary uses that are extremely important in the military: 1.) It breaks the transmission because the longer you transmit, the more distorted it will become. I'm pretty sure that's a quirk of certain military radios, spectrums, or encryption types but it's possible that things like phones (which use radio waves) are breaking and resuming rapidly to avoid that issue without people noticing. 2.) It allows more important traffic to interject a long transmission. On most voice communication nets only one person can transmit at a time. If someone has more important traffic they can interject upon hearing a break with "break break break, [message]". Imagine a long, boring personnel status report when suddenly someone is taking fire and needs support. It would suck to have to wait for a long report to end to call for a casevac for your dying buddy because you're waiting for the other guy on the radio to shut up. 3.) It minimizes the length and randomizes radio frequency output which an enemy with high tech equipment can track and locate the source of. Using the source location they can call indirect fire such as artillery, mortars, bombs, or missiles. They can also see the frequency of the transmission which would allow them to listen in on unencrypted nets or jam that frequency rendering it unusable for communication. Others mentioned breaks can help the receiver catch up writing down the traffic or allow the transmitter to quickly find information/collect their thoughts. Those aren't accepted reasons to use a break however breaks can have that affect. If you need more than a few seconds to gather information before resuming after a break you probably should tell the receiver to stand by for further information, otherwise the receiver will assume that they did not receive the next segment after the break.
@thebigbrain15732 жыл бұрын
