This is what made Craig so awesome, he just sat down and _talked_ with his guests. His bit used to be that he would rip the script up and toss it away before just having an off the cuff conversation with his guest. It really reminded me of more how these sorts of talk shows operate in the UK. Its just a couple of friends joking around and not trying to set up a pre-rehearsed story the actor's agent sent over in an email the week before.
@vancedadder Жыл бұрын
Was it just a bit or did he really have unscripted conversations with his guests?
@__Andrew Жыл бұрын
@@vancedadder He really did just have conversations with them. The ripping up the card at the start of a lot of the interviews was sort of a bit, im sure he did read stuff like "new movie XYZ, lives in suchandsuch, won award last year for thisandthat" but the actual talks he had was definitely just conversations. He would of course touch on if they had a new movie to promote, but you can tell in other late night shows the host usually sets the guest up for some story they can tell, Craig didnt really do that. He just talked and had fun. Its 100% worth it to go back and watch some of his old shows. Especially anytime he had a guest on that was a personal friend of his, like Betty White. He was on a very short lived sitcom with Betty in the 90's that started a friendship with them. Betty was on his show like 20 times and i think would sometimes be the guest they would call on short notice to come in if someone dropped out since she was always a riot when on.

OH, is that who said "do you cream?" She looked familiar but she never looked completely toward the camera so I wasn't sure who it was.

I love this show and am so sorry I never new about it when it was on. Thank you for all your work making these clips. I would love it if all the full episodes were available.

You are devilishly, a sly one:). Note: At 5:44, Craig's mentioning, in his opening monologue, "The Secret Sign" wihen he's "excited sexually". Then moving forward to 6:02- 6:20, with his lady guest., who speaks in reference to watching a show. She says she hasn't watched it yet, but that she's "been both upstairs and downstairs", and Craig does the "Secret Sign". He could not have timed its use, better, if he had planned it and you edit it brilliantly. Great job.
