For those who said it doesn't work, make sure your counting the 25th card from the top, he flips the deck over and counts from the bottom but, he then places the 25 counted cards on top of the deck, it won't with if you do it from the bottom and it won't with more than 52 either

For those with 52 cards and it not working! At 3:48 he flips the cards over right, so watch as he pulls the first card off and sets the next card pulled off on top of that! Watch it slowly. I kept getting this wrong only for that reason. You could just count to the 25th card from the top before hand but this way is better for the audience to see I think. Great video, great trick, dear god keep em come'n

Jay, Perhaps ask the spectator to "Please think of a numbered position around midway in the deck say around 26 or so. It can be a bit less or a bit more. It is up to you". With such a patter a number between 20 and 39 is very likely indeed as the result.This approach to obtaining the 'range force ' seems very free and fair whilst "Please think of a number between 20 and 30" seems a little overly restrictive. (?) Then use either of the two methods of reveal depending on the number thought of.

for all those that say the trick is ending up 2 off from what they were supposed to have, if you watch carefully he says you want the card in the 25th position, but he counts from the bottom up. i have found that every time i cound from the top down to the 25th position, it works, as opposed to ending up off because i counded 25 from the bottom up. hopefully this is the real problem and it's not that i'm just getting lucky.

I've never been a fan of math tricks or tricks where you spell cards, etc. I like more of like sleight of hand tricks because they actually show skill. This one will always work but it takes a good magician to pull off sleight of hand tricks.

Complete the cut means to finish of cutting the cards. So, if you take half of the cards from the top of the deck, to complete the cut, you'd put those cards at the bottom.

so like i've been doing this so many times without it working, memorizing the card in the 25th position .. i really whanted this to work so kept on trying and actually im pretty sure that this works all the time if you memo the card in the 28th position. then just don't forget:_ count your number + black + spad(e) | + black + club(s) | + red + hearts ( next card) | red + diamon(d).. dunno if someone said this already and hope this helps. Remeber: 28th card not 25th ( im pretty sure)

I use a 2 of hearts as my 25th key card as to eliminate 1 less thing for me to concentrate on. Once this Trick becomes second nature, perhaps I will open it up to random key cards, but if no one is chasing, why run?

The secret of this trick is not to count the letter of the suites in the end. The secret of the trick is that the card, regardless of what you do, if done right, will end up in the 18th position. This will allow you to come up with your own ways of counting it. I for instance made this trick on a friend named "Alexander Pappas" which is 15 letters, meaning I need 2 more letters to get to 17 to then turn up the 18th card, so I counted "A L E X A N D E R P A P P A S H Ä R" and on the "R", which is the 18th letter, I showed the card. Här means here in Swedish. This can be done with any suit in any language. Just make sure to count 17 letters, and then turn up the next card. Or count 18 letters and turn up the card on the 18h position. You are welcome.

So, here you don't even have to know the SUIT or COLOR, Just the number will be enough, say 23 then add 10 to that 33. So 33rd card is the selected card. If 24----------34th Card

Hey dude, i don't get how it happens but i was having trouble aswell and i thought to make my keycard the 25th card from the top of the deck rather than the bottom (which is what seems to be happening in the video) and it worked. So looking at the cards face-on like this your keycard should be in the 28th position.

I want help those guys who will perform this card trick on their own language. You need to count the number of cards when spelling for your languge, e.g. for English: "redhearts", "reddiamond", "blackspade", "blackclubs" has 10 to spell (on "redhearts" you show the next card after 9th). For Russian: "краснаячирв", "краснаябубн", "чернаякрест" and "чернаяпика" (+1) has 11 to spell. Next, do 35 - your number, e.g. 10 (English is 25 and Russian is 24) and remember that card at the beginning!

I think i know your problem, you're remembering the key 25th from the bottom, which that would make it the 27th card in the deck, so if you're counting from the bottom, remember the 27th card and this should work. I made the same mistake.

Let me try, I might be wrong :-) Say, your card is in position x. You've got 27 cards under the key card. When you add the 2nd pile to the 1st pile you got m cards under the key card where 1+m+x is your card, assumed m+n=27. When you separate the pile you make the key card to the top. So your card is now 1+m+x from top. When you add the rest of n cards on top you got n+1+m+x, i.e. 28+x is your card. Maybe someone else can explain better ;-)

ok very important part he did not mention that had me stumped. the key has to be 25 from the top of the deck. if you dont peel each card off as you count face up, when you flip the deck over the key card the card is now 27 or 28 from the top. josh holsopple I am betting this is the trouble your having.

By the way nice trick, I know a similar one but it's not a mathemaGical one :) you have a key cards put on the card the spect chooses When you serve cards you spell the spect's name, a letter for each card you put down.. The next card is the spect's one :) It's very nice and impressive :)
