I have one in my van and it’s been a game changer for leaving the heater on low overnight in cold temperatures. Also have an electric blanket which uses very little power and makes a big difference. I have a Roamer battery but not the extreme. (Great company and fantastic support). Need to get an RV tank heater to keep it warm below 5c. Keep up the great videos.

Thank you I do just enjoy showing the day today of what I get up to sometimes. I actually quite like the pump noise ( definitely in the very few ) . Mine is mounted in a way. It’s a very dull thud and actually quite hard to hear but I find it reassuring and since I have a afterburner controller which has a very precise thermostat. The pump noise means I can understand what the heating is doing.

@MispronouncedAdventures Жыл бұрын
To be fair, I think what happened is I had the controller on the inside of my jacket whilst riding, obstacle avoidance is really good when tracking, but I think I knocked it and knocked off filming tracking and then it just flew into a tree. Yes, I’ll be driving out probably first week of January for another 2 to 3 months

Hello Alex, You always appear to drive everywhere at night, is there a reason for that? Have you been to the Lofoten Islands at this time of year? That might make for some amazing footage? Can't believe you managed to climb that tree to get the drone back, brave man :D
@MispronouncedAdventures Жыл бұрын
Good question, the night driving is because the days are so short. Most of the night driving ( apart from the drive out ) is 3 or 4pm in the afternoon. I’m normally always at a park up by 5pm. I try and spend the day light hours doing things. I’ve not decided on if I’m going to head to that Lofoten again this winter. It’s definitely an amazing place for sure.

A 5 season sleeping bag? Is that for spring, summer, autumn, winter and rain?
@MispronouncedAdventures Жыл бұрын
“5 season” sleeping bag is a term term used for sleeping bag with more extreme cold temperatures ratings, often used for describe sleeping bags designed and suitable for a high altitude or polar environments. such as this one. Although this one also has hydrostatic down so more suitable for a wet environment as well! But I’d rather not sleep in the rain
@casparv Жыл бұрын
@@MispronouncedAdventures Never heard it before! Here I was, well chuffed with my recently purchased 4 season bag, suddenly thinking I missed out and could have done better 😅 I guess the -40°C rating means I could probably call it a 5 season then. Down bags sound really great. I took a cheaper approach and went for a synthetic bag (ex Dutch army, ~€100). I hope to also travel Northern Scandiavia, some future winter.

How unsafe is it to drive a UK vehicle on the right when driving on a single track road by yourself without a passenger for your eyes when driving around a blind corner like a mountain or a blind rocky side? as there are miles of these blind spots in Switzerland or especially Norway, or even a cliff top edge , is this is a really dangerous concern? or am i worrying to much? I have bought a dash cam for the left side of the front window screen and a very dodgy tiny mirror to clip to my left wind shield , I need a fixed one but I fear that is not enough!

So are they called 'iced doughnuts' when you do them on a snowmobile in a supermarket carpark? 😉 Also, if you had your winch, you could have used it to shake (or catapult) the drone out of the tree! Finally, what are the satellite comms you mentioned in your admin pack?
