Great song. Great movie. How many of us lived this, but didn't have the guts to tell the guy we loved him? Then many years later we meet up on the internet and figure out we both had feelings and neither spoke up. And it hurts as much as it did then? Good thing this movie had a very happy ending. Genius choice of songs for the soundtrack.

This movie has an amazing soundtrack, and is just really underappreciated among 80's teen films otherwise as well. Probably because of it being somewhat of a redo of Pretty in Pink, but IMO SKOW is clearly the better movie of the two.

I agree. It is a shame that Some Kind of Wonderful was dismissed as a Pretty in Pink rip off. If you watch them both, they feel very different and I didn't really care about any characters in Pretty in Pink as they seemed very thinly developed and unconvincing. The cast and acting in Some Kind of Wonderful was stronger and the characters were better developed.
