For about a year they'd start boring staff meetings with, "What movie or book inspired you to become a teacher?" The most fun answer was obvious,. "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie by Muriel Spark!" I'd always chirp. I think my smirk started to give me away because they stopped complimenting me and just moved on to the next suffering teacher. Many had seen the movie, but none ever called me out about saying my role model was a fascist snob. Now Eleanor Morton is my role model!
