@@arjaysteventarnate8966 its avantgarde gown..not inspired by anything ...anyone...its pure and original from bastian the desiigner himself...indonesian always wellknown with their design...sense of fashion...some other contestant wore indonesian designers gown...none of them for free....they bought it...at least USD10K ..its different than PH designers ...they gave away their gown for free to some of the contestant...thats a huge different....being worn by one for huge money....than worn by so many but free..😁😁...and some ended up not wearing them coz lack of style and sense of fashion...especially.... hautecouture....sorry

This is a great episode. To me, Indonesia was robbed for not placing top 10. Ayu’s performance on prelims leading to finals was flawless. With this evening gown creation I’ve seen in this episode, it would have been a stunning performance for finals. She should have at least given a recognition in the telecast for the best evening gown concept and style award. I know for sure Ayu and her team worked hard for earning such recognition, if there is one.

I totally agree with your opinion on Rabiya’s yellow dress! I thought it was stunning. The silhouette and the train detail, were almost a bit, Jackie Kennedy. I was a bit underwhelmed with her finals dress. Myanmar’s dress would have definitely stole the show. My fav dresses on pageant night were, Puerto Rico and Peru! When you have the same judges in the Prelims and Finals and throughout the whole entire competition, it doesn't make any sense to save your best gown for Finals especially if you don't make the cut and advance to top 21, 10, 5, etc. You have to give all your best looks every time to impress the judges especially in the beginning of the competition.

@@DaniWalker Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the Miss Universe have the same all female panel of judges in the prelims and finals for the past 3 years? And it is now a strategy for most of the big favorite candidates to save their best gowns in the finals because they are going for that "element of surprise." And I am not a fan of this strategy because most of these favorite candidates like Miss USA, Venezuela, Colombia, Philippines didn't even advance to top 10 and we didn't get to see their best gowns this year. They sure got the "element of surprise" by not advancing 🤣

Myanmar actually reminds me a lot on what happens with Indonesia (Artikasari Devi) in 2005. Indonesia make top 15 for the first time in history. It happened when there are so much hates on Putri Indonesia (Miss Universe Indonesia license holder) joining the pageant after soooo long (especially issues on having swimsuit on stage). So I really do think that Myanmar deserves the top 21 seat. You can't be named "STRONG" than still being able to stand tall while receiving hates from your own country. Personally, I wished that the stardust gown should be worn during the prelims and wear that again during the final, so they REMEMBERED! It deserves a second show! So much love from Indonesia!

I hate to say and admit this but the amount of exposure that MGI gives to the girls is just amazing. Imagine training and working hard for something but just ended up not being seen on the stage is just SAD. This is something that MU should work on. If MGI can provide each girls their time to shine on stage then MU can and should do that as well.

Ahhh I'm with you with Philippines prelims gowns. I really Loved It! I didn't notice it right when she's ramping it 'cause unfortunately the cameraman didn't get to capture that right when she tries to highlight it, though I did notice it right when they were asked to walk back in stage then exit. I do prefer the prelims gown rather than her final evening gown.

Dani, Us boys have the same issue. A friend of mine flew from NY to Chicago on Spirit Airlines. They mishandled and Lost his Preliminary and Final Night Formal wear, Interview, Top 5 QA, Crowning,and Talent looks including his 6 backup dancers music. He only had his Swimsuit and makeup.... I had to attend a Pageant without my Creative costume, Talent, Interview, and Crowning look because my cousin locked me out our apt..All I had was my formal wears fresh from the Tailor's. Luckily Within 24 hrs for both of us we managed to build a new package in Time...We both placed Top 10 in our Pageants and nobody knew the behind the scenes drama....so I sympathize with Mynmamar

Hi Miss Dani, just a little trivia from Miss Philippines' final "Sarimanok" inspired gown. In Meranaw (tribe in northern part of the Philippines) Sarimanok is a legendary bird from the old Meranaw mythology and it signifies beauty, power and good fortune. Rabiyas' gown represents her feature, personality and charm.
