@@GameboyFanatic same here like heck Goku could still go to Beerus's planet to train while Goku cannot train either of the Boys so directs them to oh I don't know Piccolo or Gohan heck at this point in the series at the Battle of God's arc like after it ends and have them train with Piccolo because there's no doubt in my mind that Gohan would've been more motivated to train because realistically speaking the older brother would want to stay ahead of both of them and it was shown in the training for the World Material arts tournament that when Goten busted out super saiyan and was like yup gotta train to stay ahead of Goten and Trunks

I think everyone forgets about the time when buu killed chi chi and goten got angry and even got serious and began preparing to fight buu before trunks! When Mr Popo took them both to the hyperbolic time chamber, trunks went to the food first, whereas goten got to work. I think that would be a good side of goten that should be explored.

People say it's stupid that goten and trunks haven't changed appearance since the buu saga for being 14 and 15 currently but turn a blind eye to goku being that small at 15 during the king piccolo saga

Goku was a pure saiyan. Between the Piccolo saga and the 23rd World Tournament saga, he goes from his child body to his adult body in a span of only a few years. Also, Goku and Vegeta now are at least over 50, and they look as young as they were all throughout Z. Gohan is a half Saiyan like Goten and Trunks, and he ages like a normal human.

If they used potaro to fuse sacrificing their individuality to defeat buu would of been a interesting point having a lasting effect on vegeta mostly losing his heir and only son prompting him to have bulla even if they defuse with the one hour it would effect their characters and make them more mature

Future Missed Opportunity video suggestions 1. King Cold - The Father of Freiza, he was almost wished back to life in Ressurecion F. Until the Pilaf Gang, got the wish. That's one missed opprtunity there, having Cold acting as perhaps the main villain of his own arc, or even gaining his own Golden or Final Form. 2. Dabura - This guy was literally called the Demon King. Yet he's only a minion of Babidi, when he clearly has much more potential as a villain, left unexplored. (To be fair, Demons in Dragon Ball could use more fleshing out in general.) 3. Wishes made on Dragon Balls - A few times wishes have been made, that could potentially have had greater impact. The wish to restore all the erased Universes, potentially bringing back more than the ones erased during the Universal Survival Arc for instance. Or the wish to bring back everyone who was killed by Freiza and his men, not bringing back Nappa? 4.Videl - Daughter of Mr. Satan, one of the few female fighters in the series. I feel there was missed opportunity for her. Like after the Buu saga, she didn't seem the type to just settle down, I'd imagine she'd want to stay strong? There could have been some really cool bonding between her and 18, as the strongest Mom's in Dragon Ball XD.

Kaioken is easily the biggest missed opportunity in the entire series, with the possible exception of Raditz. It still baffles me that Goku was the only person to ever use it. Give it to the human fighters, and suddenly they have a way to try and bridge the gap to Super Saiyan. It's so unbelievably obvious, and the worst part is that unlike Raditz who is dead and gone, or Goten and Trunks who the series has committed to keeping as kids forever, the Kaioken could still be brought back at literally any time. It's an instant force multiplier for the human fighters, and no amount of power level inflation will make it less useful to them. All that has to happen is for Goku to stop being a selfish dick for once and actually teach someone else one of his techniques.

Trunks has that, is constantly shown to be the stronger of the two, is far smarter than Goten and has more of a drive to fight than either Goten and previously Gohan. Goten out of the hybrids is the absolute weakest of the three.

I feel like the reason why Trunks and Goten look younger than they should is because (and this is a theory that came right out of my ass) of living in peaceful times. Without any training under their belts, they can't develop physically. When we look at Future Trunks, who lived in a hellish timeline, he spent his time training with Future Gohan and getting stronger. As for Gohan, he started off small especially at ten years old. Then when he spent a year in the Room of Spirit and Time, he underwent rigorous training with Goku and thus he grew tremendously in strength and size. Because of these two kids living in peaceful times relying on their fathers and fusion to save the day, they're not able to grow due to their lack of development.

I kept going to sleep with this idea, what if goten and trunks had a major role in super. Everything is the same until after battle of gods. After it, Goten thinks he should train up to protect his family if his dad isn't around. Trunks agrees and so when Vegeta is going with whis for the 6 months, trunks joins into the beam like goku did. So, goten is left training with his dad. 6 months pass and by now I'd say it's reasonable to give trunks able to use God ki, but no transformations. Goten and Goku want to go after he hears that vegeta and trunks are with whis. After a while, trunks and goten have a slight handle of Ssjb. Goku and vegeta have ssjb down. So, frieza is resurrected. The whole thing happens except vegeta kills frieza this time. After seeing future trunks kill frieza and Goku having become the first Ssj. He fires a galick gun before sorbet blasts goku. A while after, the whole universe 6 tournament happens. The team is Goku, Vegeta, Goten, Trunks, and Monaka. The rest of the time, trunks and goten train in the time chamber w/ Gohan. They come out to reveal trunks and goten grown up. They then go onto the universe 6 tournament. Trunks resembles his future counterpart while goten looks like goten at the end of Z. I'm gonna leave it off here

Okay, if I have to say who I like the most that would be goten, just because I hate present trunks, but the most interesting of the 2 is trunks because goten is effectively as interesting as a grey rock and trunks lives in a timeline where an alternative version of himself came to save them all, that should have interesting effects on one's psychology

I think they should have an arc where Goku and Vegeta get to old to continue fighting so they pass the responsibility onto their children, also Pan and Uub. Personally I think Goku and Vegeta have developed enough considering they are currently god level. I also agree Goten and Trunks should develop their own personality and Gotenks should only be used as a last resort. Just my thoughts though

Honestly, just having both kids be allowed to come along on adventures would be cool. Bulma can't hold a candle to either of them in terms of power but she was allowed to stick around when they were handling Broly in the movie?? And they're far far FAR stronger then Krillin - I don't care what anyone says. So they DEFINITELY should have been included in the Tournament of Power. Like, I get Master Roshi got stronger, but Goten and Trunks can go Super Saiyan. They would have been a much better fit for it - not to mention being able to fuse at will. It's a real shame. Sidenote, Trunks is my favourite out of the two just because it feels like we know him better, thanks to his future self. But it would be awesome if we got a little more personality and time with Gotenks as a whole. Or even Gogeta/Vegito. I'm kinda hoping that one day, someone will wish for the fusions to be their own people and get way more screentime. Heck, if they made that an arc on its own, I bet no one would be opposed to it.

for super make goten, kid trunks (and ranch from R&R) the main characters, but when they cannot get the job done then bring in goku,vegeta (and raditz from R&R) keep goku and vegeta traning with whis and beerus. make super broly a sometimes enemy sometimes ally make cooler canon and bring back garlic jr. make goten and kid trunks not rely on fusion so much and ranch as a back up if one of goten or trunks isnt around. rivalery between ranch and caulifla / kale do more with piccolo he was cool yajirobi learns kamehameha wave make tien and yamcha more relivent and make tiencha cannon

The God forms in Super were among the top five biggest missed opportunities. Anyways, the thing I hate most about these two is the fact they're always shown together and are basically mirror images and only there to bring out Gotenks which wastes the cool factor of fusion. It'd be nice to see them spend time apart and actually develop character traits.

A lot of people like future trunks and goten better than the main timeline trunk’s and goten because they are “older” Well let me break the news to you Trunks and goten the ones that we see in the main timeline are teenagers if not in their early 20’s But they’re still animated and treated like children they are the same age if not older than their future counterparts yet they receive hate because they draw them to look younger and that’s why they have so much wasted potential goten has so much wasted potential because goku always training and Chi Chi is very against the idea that his son will fight instead of become a scholar which is why I gohan is a scholar And trunks has a lot of wasted potential because Vegeta isn’t always the nicest guy and he thinks that his son is too young to fight and to weak That’s why they never get any stronger or unlock anything beyond super sayin

Quite sad though, DC comics is doing Supersons Goten and Trunks are not given the same opportunity. Jon Kent and Damian Wayne have their own adventures outside that of Batman and Superman which gives them more room for developing their friendship as independent character, Yet Goten and Trunks are not given that chance.
