100% agree! I think it was used in Japan? But I remember especially because of the anime being so confused about it and it leading to basically nowhere.

The lack of level scaling in SV was embarrassing, especially since some rom hacks have it as early as Gen II

I am shocked they didn't do it honestly. It would allow endless possibilities in terms of how to do the Gym Challenge etc. Countless ways to replay!
