here's my gay secret (somewhat anonymously lol): when i was around 11, i was playing a game of truth or dare with two female friends. somehow, i got the idea to ask one of them, "if me and the other girl were both boys, who would you date?" they both thought it was a weird question, i felt really embarrassed at the time. unsurprisingly, i am a lesbian now.

The person who was struggling to attract female attention, but only getting men's attention, spoke to me. YES. I do get female attention sometimes, but only masc women bite. I am femme and I'm generally only interested in other femmes. Every girl I swoon over is either straight, or into tomboy energy. To put it into perspective, I do not own a pair of pants. It's dresses and skirts exclusively over here. And I want a girl I can share skirts and dresses with, I need to get a femme in my skirt. Both literally and figuratively. Please lord, bless me with a lipstick lesbian😭
@Alex-up9dj2 жыл бұрын
I basically have the same problem. I'm bisexual and when it comes to girls, I find myself being exclusively attracted to femmes. However, being femme myself, I tend to attract masculine lesbians much more often and it's kinda frustrating. So I often fall for straight women *sigh*.
@hayleywilliamscroc2 жыл бұрын
I get you! I'm a femme lesbian and I usually attract men :/, occasionally women but that's only been women who I already knew, that already knew I was gay. I'm generally more into femme women as well, but I find it so hard to show that im gay when around other femme women. I have a couple of rainbows here and there, earrings etc, but without straight up asking someone if they're lesbian too it's something I struggle with. Especially cause I can never tell what another femme woman's sexuality is🥴like literally I have a crush on a girl who I haven't known for too long, so idk her sexuality yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if she was straight. I don't wanna change who I am/my style just to "look more gay", like I'm alt and I just want someone to share band shirts, dresses and docs with😭

I've got to say I disagree with your parents at the 11:50 or so mark. For some of us, it is perfectly safe and actually the healthy rational thing to cut a parent out of your life. I was an adult but I wish I could have done it before high school. It would have saved me many many years of pain and turmoil (not purely emotional). When your safety is concerned, be it physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, whatever it is perfectly acceptable and rational to divorce a parent from your life. My therapist is the one who introduced me to the idea and I'm ever so grateful. It isn't giving up on your parents. It's not giving up on yourself and recognizing you yourself are worthy of respect and worthy of compassion.
