Hi!! This info is really cool. Do you only have info on electric vehicles? Would you be willing to videos on electric appliances and electric homes too?

Hello, Thank you! I am specifically interested in battery-electric products. I'd be open to other segments that feature battery powered goods. Since my background is in automotive, most of my current content is eMobility based. 🙂

Good video and recap! Even with the Pandemic, the EV market grew by about 20-25% (final numbers not in yet, but I am estimating) in CY2020 and 2021 looks to continue that growth. With the list of auto manufacturers you've outlined, their models coming up and the U.S. shifting emphasis back to green technologies and commitments (go Pete!), it should be a very good year for furthering EV adoption and continuing the momentum for this decade! I would highlight that the "undiscovered Country" for this explosive EV growth will be China and we will need to watch them carefully. The world does not revolve around the U.S. and what is happening in China, India and Europe is very compelling. Keep up the good work and Happy New Year as well!

Our reporting is US based because we have unique access to the industry here. We are happy there are other resources, perhaps yours, which bring us news from elsewhere.

Should we make more news briefings like this?

I would have added the massive surge in e-bicycle demand and production volumes in 2020. The mentioned Wuling MINI EV remarkable sales figures in china may be the segway to a huge 2021 market shift in urban areas. Good job!

Other than Tesla and newer companies, no legacy ICE automaker actually wants to bring EVs outside of compliance numbers.

I would tend to agree @TheFourthWinchester, however many like GM, Ford, FCA and others have committed to furthering their EV plans and some substantially. The proof will be in the pudding, sort to speak so we will have to see what they actually do and more importantly, how many EVs they produce. To say you have 5 vehicles in your lineup that are EVs and only producing less than 100k or so, is not IMO and I suspect yours, a true representation of backing this movement. It for sure is more of a compliance play. Let's see and I am hopeful most of the OEMs will get with the program and come about. I do look at the glass as being half full. :)

It seems as if this has shifted a great deal over the last year.
