Those soldiers have signed a contract. They KNEW where they were going and what they were doing (bombing civilian infrastructure). As for those surrendering, they only did it because Ukrainian government promised more than 50000 dollars for EACH soldier who turned themselves in. I personally think it is a horrible idea - to GIVE money and release the people that bombed the children's hospital 5 minutes ago...

They were told they’re going to train only to be woken up in the middle of the night to be put into tanks to cross the border. Some were told that Ukraine already surrendered and that the people were going to celebrate they’re arrival with open arms. Others were told (from their generals) to shut up and uphold their contract (if not they could phase 15-45 years in prison). We also know that they’re not lying from cellphone data from multiple dead Russian soldiers to their parents stating that they’re scared and theirs in fact war happening in Ukraine.

No one wins; but evil eventually loses, if good people stand up for what’s right and protect their country and families, and help those in need. When you’ve done everything you could to prevent war, and war happens anyway, the only thing that can be won from a war is the end of conflict and hopefully peace for the future. Unfortunately, in some cases, war is inevitable (b/c of evil leaders abusing their power and murdering innocents), and all we can do is try to end it as quickly as possible.
