I'm a 66 yr old female who hikes alone with my dog, in the forested mountains. Thanks to Dave's advice, I carry a PLB (SOS feature on phone is not always available); a S&W Max Shield with 18 rounds, plus an extra mag of 15 rounds; bear spray; a phone; and I have a person who knows exactly where I am, knows my expected time + extra time before calling me in as missing, and has access to my Find My location. Emergency supplies for unexpected overnight stay, first aid kit, ample water. I won't stop doing what I love, and I'm taking every precaution.

I really believe that's why President Woodrow Wisdom made the National Parks because our Government knew strange things were happening, so if they sectioned it off and told whatever is doing it to keep it in the boundaries of the Parks they would try to brush it under the rug. But that's the problem it didn't stay contained in our National Parks, now it's everywhere and they're trying to cover it up.

A great suggestion they gave, that worked, was to have their subscribers play the KZbin videos on a loop; meaning subscribers go to your playlists and play them when not using their phones or computers. I will definitely be coming over with you and am looking forward to seeing what you have planned, I truly hope people will come with you, I know it can be scary for viewers doing something new but when your job has stopped paying you appropriately for your work you have to look at other options, it’s easy to forget this is your job, others wouldn’t and couldn’t work for 56 plus percent less, you have bills the same as the rest of us so I really hope you get the support you deserve. I have to mention my fur baby, Beau whose in the photo with me, I had him for nine and a half years from a nine week old puppy, he absolutely saved my life, I know I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for that beautiful boy, sadly he passed away suddenly I think of a heart attack, he went into his bed, I went out on the afternoon of the 26th October, came back, thought he was sulking as I’d left him, he has a square enclosed cat bed so was hidden in his throws, I was busy doing bits and pieces and it took me over an hour to notice something was wrong, I took him from his bed and realised he had just and just gone, I’ve never felt such heartache and I miss him every second of every day, he was my little buddy, I have him with me though, so yes they definitely can save us and do 💙

A couple of things I noticed about this case is the water bottle being found within 6 miles of the trailhead after it being searched. What doesn't make sense to me why she would discard a water bottle on a hike when it could be refilled in a stream. They never said how many cig butts and wrappers were stuffed in it??? 30 mile hike I would ration the water on the way there 1/2 to 1/2 back. As a smoker I my self would not.be stuffing butts in the water bottle until I am on the return trip and near the end. I would stuff them in the pack or another backpack pocket or something like that. She would also have to ration her cigs, most smokers are a pack a day so 12hr trip she would only be able to have 1-2 per hour. They didn't mention her habit weather a light social smoker or more heavy, my guess would be a light smoker for the activity level and difficulty if she can keep up with boyfriend, I've been to Colorado mts and as a smoker it takes it out of you, but I don't live in the mtns and not aclimated to elevation either. Seems to me she may have been kidnapped while the search was going on and left the bottle as a clue did they check for finger prints or dna?

I have no doubt that people want to restrict and even prevent your messages from getting out, if for no other reason than you focusing on the disappearances in these parks may have an economic impact by reducing the number of visitors, especially considering your justified criticism of the NPS. You are doing God’s work by both instructing people how to stay safe in the wilderness and by keeping the missing alive in our collective memory. As a fellow “Pyr Pa”, I find myself looking forward to Huck’s daily adventures as she reminds me so much of my big baby boy. Please don’t be discouraged by the attempts to shut you down. Your work is much too important. And for those who dismiss the possibility of there being reasons for some of these disappearances, I am reminded of a quote from Shakespeare’s Hamlet: “There are far more wonders in Heaven and on Earth than are dreamt of in your philosophies.”

I understand as I've been trying to start dog training business but mostly the people want training but want it for free. Tried it with them saying they would tell others but never got referrals. I can't do it for free. I am volunteering at dog rescue to help. No pay.

Veteran paws for veterans is such a program but they will only train dogs they bred as service dogs. I taught mine to brace to help mom get up both were rescues.

David, I’m fairly new to your channel but I have heard about you for several years. You’re very respected by the ppl of our world. You are doing a great service to everyone who listens. Even tho the majority of us haven’t experienced missing ppl, you’re educating us. With every video I view I put a like. The only thing that bothers me is that you’re so upset about your views and the amount of money you’re making on KZbin. I get that your time is valuable and like all of us, we need to make money to survive. Sadly it’s difficult to make a living solely on KZbin. Your idea of using a different platform to make more money is a good one. Hopefully this will help you to financially survive. I’m not trying to be mean, but rather being honest about how some of us view your reason for having the channel. I just want you to understand that you are helping ppl, and I wish you felt the joy of that. If you didn’t do the channel you and Huck would be so bored.
