*Adults never need a child's help!!* Normal people don't ask children for help, and I have drilled that into my kids head since she was old enough to comprehend. If an adult asks you to help find his puppy or kitten, you run. If they ask for directions, you run. If the stop next to you, you run. If they talk to you, you run. Adults have no business talking to children in the absence of other adults. Period.

Yes! And with all the human trafficking going on, I want to say that real men in distress will never even approach a single lone female or even a group of women for help, esp in some dark corner of a parking lot. A man with good intentions will not ask you to help him in any way, but esp not driving him somewhere.

Wittney R I approached a man in distress in a dark parking lot this summer and he was so shocked by it he didn’t speak at first. I had been sitting on the curb in the far corner of a parking lot smoking while my husband was inside paying for gas and the man pulled in with his muffler scraping against the ground and towing a boat. I knew we had metal zip ties in my truck so I walked over and grabbed one. When I walked up to him he was under the car so I crouched down and offered it to him. He was so shocked that I was there so quickly with exactly what he needed that at first he just stared at me with his mouth open but quickly thanked me profusely. I’m sure he thought I was a guardian angel the way he looked at me. I’m sure it wasn’t the smartest thing to do but I saw a person in need and I had the perfect solution so I couldn’t resist. Him being under the car seemed like a safe enough opportunity to approach him. But I could tell he didn’t want my help at first.

Rochelle when you say; “God was there to protect her.” You do mean well, you mean ( it’s amazing she made it out alive.) right? Cause honestly it was a miracle. God is amazing and he always is with us, even when we are not fortunate in these worlds eyes. Those 15 other girls that were killed God was protecting them, not just from this monster, but from the future they would have to face. So when you said “God was protecting her, the families of those that weren’t so fortunate in our world, feel crushed. Like if God wasn’t protecting them. Though I know what you meant. Running saved my life. I was close to being kidnapped myself. I went to the same school as her, and lived around the corner from her house. Luckily, I was walking home from school with my Grandma. She was not too far behind me, so as soon as he tried to talk to me, my whole being told me to RUN. I ran back to my Grandma as fast as I could and told her right away. My Mom and I went to report it to the school and we filed a police report. Then shortly after, she was kidnapped. Hi, the bottom line is sin that corrupts . There are traumatic circumstances that open the door to demonic seduction of horrendous evil. Those are the ones who won't let go the person responsible. Forgiveness is healing for the one traumatized so peace calms the storm within. There are many ways a door is opened to the realm of the demonic. In Romans 1&2, there is explanations of the minds being without conscience. It brings clarity to the increasing violence etc.

I will never understand the amount of evilness out in the world. I can’t understand how someone can look at a child and want to cause them detrimental harm. I pray for this girl, the PTSD that she probably still deals with to this day and then to have such a pure heart to want to help others even though she’s is still dealing with it is very admirable. I am proud of her strength man this really touch my heart. I pray that god continues to use her to help other young girls and women who have experienced something like that.

Stay safe, please! I (a female) always wanted to get a 2nd job delivering pizzas or something like that. I never had enough nerve cuz I knew I'd have to go to someone's front door. Who knows who and what and how many are inside? Once that doors opens, it's very easy to just pull you in, then you're stuck and at their mercy. Maybe you should call someone at each delivery stop, let them know you're going up to the door, let them know you got back to the car. It would probably get old after a while. The person might fall asleep and not answer, then not know til it's too late that anything happened. Nothing is foolproof. I thought about taking my dog (pit bull/rottweiler), but they could pull me in quick and leave my dog on the porch, poison/kill my dog. I wish it could be safer. I hope you are safe. I just realized you're a male after I wrote this. Now I feel stupid, but you still need to be careful. You're carrying money, and people know that. Be safe.

When I was 5 years old I was riding my bike on the street where I lived. It was a semi busy road and I was at a corner where it intersected a cul-de-sac. A man in a big brown van pulled up to the side of the road and leaned over a bit, rolling down his passenger window. "Hey little girl, do you know if this is Union Ave?" He asked, glancing from side to side. "Yes" I said "you're on Union Ave" "What?" the man replied, " I didn't hear you can you come a little closer?" I took two steps closer and he asked again. I could see him sliding across towards the door, his hand outstretched for the handle. I pointed to the street sign which was clearly just a few feet from where his truck was, it was clearly in his view . After the second time he asked me to come closer I got on my bike and peddled as fast as I could home, he sped away, tires screeching as he pulled off. That man was going to abduct me. My mother always told me no matter what someone says, even if they tell you, your mother is in the hospital and she's dying; she sent me to get you; you have to come with me right now... do not believe them! Never under any circumstances go with a stranger. If my mom hadn't taught me that, I might not be here today. Now that I have a daughter myself, I know to tell her the same thing. For years I would ride my bike past those tire marks in the street and a chill would run up my spine.

I think all those people there and singing happy birthday to her right after she came home and was traumatized was too overwhelming for her. I'm sure her parents and the other people meant well and they were just happy to see her but it doesn't look like she was at all ready for that. You can see it in her eyes. She just wants to be home comforted by her parents and not seen by all those people.

Not considering her mental/emotional state when continuing with plans for (large) birthday party, as if nothing happened - even continued cheerfully singing while she was crying! 4.) Apparently never got her the counseling she obviously needed, as a child or teen.

I started to walk home alone at 9 in a half, I’m 14 now. My elementary school was 2 blocks from my house and my mom would watch me through the window until she knew I was at school. Then she stopped watching because I was getting older. Then I graduated and started middle school. I remember I was a bit scared to go to school by myself the first day but eventually it was easy and I wasn’t worried thinking what if I was lost. I think parents should start to let them walk alone but also keep an eye out yk? I mean anything could have happened to me while crossing the streets going to school, luckily my mom was still able to see me but from a distance. It’s good she would let me become independent but also make sure I was safe.
