In this video, I show the impact that collisions in road expansion joint models have on the realism of "American Truck Simulator" and "Euro Truck Simulator 2". Recent DLCs have been collision-free in road expansion joint models, especially on bridges. In real life, these joints cause impact on the truck. It would be great if "SCS Software" implemented collision in road expansion joint curve models.

Cool thanks for showing us this. What is the name of the mod? A link and a name would be appreciated 😊

Sorry, I can't make the mod available because I won't have time to update it in future game updates. *I made the mod using Blender, following these steps:* *1.* Extract the game files, using "SCS Modding Tools"; *2.* Convert the following curve models to Blender format using "ConverterPIX": /model2/props/street/expansion_joint_01_poc.pmd /model2/props/road/road_split_01_rus.pmd /prefab2/depot/car_factory/road_split_01_de.pmd *3.* Import the files into Blender using "SCS Blender Tools". *4.* Implement and assign collision meshes for each part of the curve model (start, center and end), for example: *4.1.* The curve model has the "start" part and doens't have the "start_c" part, which means that this models is missing collision. Collision meshes are assigned to parts with "_c" at the end of their names. *4.2.* Create a mesh with the same dimensions for each part of the model, adjust its z-axis value to 3 cm and assign it to the corresponding "_c". *5.* After creating the collision meshes for the three curve models, you need to export the models using the "SCS Conversion Tools". *6.* Finally, pack the mod and run it in the game.

The collision with the joint is too excessive. For me it's less movement but more of the sound the tires create when going over the joints

It's way too strong, those joints are designed to be as smooth as possible, this mod makes every joint stick out like it was a pipe an the road. I would lower the effect by like 3 times so you can feel it but it doesn't disturb the steering wheel.

I feel like it really depends, most of these joints are smooth but I know of atleast one IRL that is a complete piece of shit, it's on a corner, if i take it in the dry it's fine but it's in the wet I always feel the rear end snap and the ESP freak out when going over it.

the impact it makes looks way too severe, irl you barely even notice those things when you drive over them. im not against this idea but i do think it needs some polishing

Hi please can you make a video on how you did this to the roads, i would really appreciate it if you do.

Great mod, I also didn't like that when you went over these type of joints and it didnt react at all to the truck but this seems bit too much, I would lower the effect quite a bit so you can feel it only slightly
