Some Bad Batter actually if I remember correctly, Timber, Bumper, Tipsy, Drumstick, Krunch, and T.T. were all in the DS remake unlike Conker and Banjo. Honestly, none of the characters in Sonic the Fighters were bad guys. All of them went to save the world, including Fang, he just probably did it so he could also have the Chaos Emeralds(and maybe clear up his reputation a bit). And Honey is really interesting since her only playable appearance is in a fighting game which you wouldn't expect from a 16 year old anthropomorphic cat girl fashion designer(how many adjectives was that?).

Hudson most likely fazed them out after MP6 (their last playable appearance) due to Bowser JR. making several appearances as a playable character at that point, so to avoid confusion they removed the Koopa Kids from the universe entirely, and by MP9 Bowser JR. was introduced to the Mario Party series. That's my theory at least, as neither the Koopa Kids or JR were seen in MP8, and it worked fine without them.

I'd LOVE to see Fang play an important role in a future Sonic game, maybe in a Mania sequel. I think he has potential. Bark and Bean are okay I guess but I'm not attached to them. The Chaotix are already good for the comic relief roles. Pretty much everyone apart from the core cast that's been around since the classic era were sidelined until Forces, so apart from Fang and also Metal Knuckles I'd just like to see all the other characters that were relevant from Adventure-06 get bigger roles again.

Cream & Blaze were strangely absent from Forces. Cream also seems to have been replaced by a Team of Chao in Team Sonic Racing. I think the "Just Sonic" approach after 06 was a huge mistake for the series that backfired bigtime with the changes made for the 2010s decade. Roger Craig Smith's Sonic is so annoying & the current writers Pontac & Graff never should have been hired for the 2010 decade as they know nothing of the Sonic series. 2010s have been the worst Era for the Sonic Series, here's hoping the 2020s decade fixes everything.

The creator of the character recently said that he designed him as a jerboa. All the Japanese fan sites have him listed as half jerboa and half wolf, but we've yet to determine the original source for this. (It must have come from somewhere, since the jerboa part ended up being correct.)

Dreamcast Era has Tikal, Vanilla, & Gemerl as forgotten/underused characters. After being a 2P Character in SA2 Battle Tikal was left to just cameos. Vanilla the Rabbit only had minor roles in the games & pretty much stopped appearing entirely after Sonic Rush 13 years ago. Gemerl only appeared in Sonic Advance 3 & probably fell victim to Ken Penders. I'm kind of worried Cream is underused as she wasn't in Forces & seems to have been replaced by Chao in Team Sonic Racing.

Fang the Sniper's creator has said that he created him as a jerboa, despite being called a weasel in his NA/EU debut. Also curious is that the Japanese Fighters Megamix guide book (the same one that says Bean is the son of Bin) tells us that Bean is a woodpecker. Several of his attacks and their names play on this.

There are actually many of them: Silver Sonic from Sonic 2, Silver Sonic Prototype from Sonic 2 on Game Gear, Mecha Sonic from Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and the list goes on, and on. Now, the only Sonic characters that are left are the ones from the Tails solo adventures; Witchcart and her henchmen from Tails' Skypatrol and the Battle Kukku Empire (or Battle Bird Armada in Archie comics) from Tails Adventure, previously mentioned in this exact video, even the Remote Robot, who was more like a playstyle for the game but was made into a little companion for Tails in the comics as T-Pup. But begs a question: they really matter to make an entire "Missing in Action" video? Maybe not but I honestly will like at least a little mention, but seeing how obscure they are, with only the recent Archie Comics adaptaions as the only kind of background they have, it's hardly possible. But I think it's funny to see how many characters they had in the Classic era before the jump to the Dreamcast era, which many say that introduces to many characters, ironic, seeing how they were a few already.

Many believe Rocket Metal to merely be an abandoned form that Metal Sonic has taken in the past. Much like his mysterious form in Heroes, Metal Sonic has returned, just not using those forms.

Consider some DK themed episode since many characters went more or less missing : - Donkey Kong Country : Swanky Kong, Kiddy Kong, Chunky Kong - Donkey Kong : Donkey Kong Jr., Stanley the Bugman - Diddy Kong Racing : Wizpig, Taj The interesting fact is that every character I listed has been mentioned/referenced since then (or was intended to appear in a cancelled game like Donkey Kong Racing). A mention of King K. Rool and the Kremlings in general would be unavoidable of course.

Gamer Jesse Their first appearance outside of the Sonic Underground series was in a crossover in the (now cancelled) Archie Sonic Comics. The Main Universe Sonic traveled to their world in order to defeat Scourge (his evil counterpart) with help from the SU gang. They're referenced at least once in an alternate future where Sonic and Sally got married and named their daughter and son Sonia and Manic respectively. However after that they aren't really mentioned ever again. One of the Anniversary Comics was planned to be an epilogue to their series where it elaborated on how they reunited with their mother and defeated Dr. Robotnik for good, however the idea was sadly scrapped.
