I've been thinking of this dimensional Layering effect to be akin to the TWEWY's layered realities, that locations with neighboring vibes could be attuned to one another in a very similar manner

further, if this is a similar phenomenon as in NEO TWEWY, then perhaps the distortions at the end of KHux were an "inversion" where the Astral Plane or RoD rose up and swapped layers as Daybreak Town sunk into a lower layer of reality

I actually think Unreality is "our Reality" layered down to Final Fantasy/Kingdom Heart. Like Fiction is. Which is why the Astral Plane is close to 'Us".

I have a theory! In kingdom hearts there are 7 lights and 13 darknesses right? But in our world there are 7 darknesses (7 deadly sins) and 13 lights (12 apostles plus god). If this is correct our reality is the polar opposite of kingdom hearts. Which is further supported by our world's lack of magic, which kh is plentyful of.

I feel like that's a bit of a stretch. 7 and 13 make sense for light/darkness, since 7 is typically considered a lucky number and 13 is typically considered an unlucky number

If this whole thing with "layer effect" isnt supposed to be the same thing, I'll be SHOCKED bro, I know its digitizing and that makes it seem more related to Yozora himself or Quadratum in general, but with how we see it in remind, honestly you could say it could go either way. The dark final world place could be layered over quadratum and they were actually there, but its a spot specifically picked to be the place outsiders land in the world and Yozora could be like the screening process people have to get through? Or it is just the cut and dry answer of they were in some in between world or weird dive to heart like thing, but maybe Yozora's very own since quadratum layers over top of it, and it only shows Sora's as a way of confirming this intruder isnt something like the sentient darkness or something that can mimic people? But it just so happened he was waiting for a Sora, I almost wonder then if some character in ML is going to BE Yozora and much like luxu in his ways of staying around, or the foretellers, if he has also just stayed around for this long somehow too? Would sorta make sense with knowledge of the layering effect, as much as I would like him to be himself as we see him he does say it isnt his real appearance so?

I’m curious as to why the heartless can come through a place of non-existence or unreality to begin with. The origin of the heartless becomes more and more bizarre as the series goes on. They’re just not a natural part of nature at all if they’re literally coming from unreality.

Heartless were originally Physical Extension of the Ancient Darkness. And it is implied at one point that They were One Thing that became 13. Heartless are Literally the Ancient Darkness's wish to attack Hearts instead of Bodies. This means they are part of Darkness's Imagination. Astral Plane= Realm of Imagination and Memories. Therefore, the Imagined Creatures of the Ancient Darkness can go there.

@@raunjisto2925 Union X. When the Master of Masters is explaining the 13 of the Ancient Darkness to Luxu. He explains They did this (One becomes 13) to "attack Hearts instead of Bodies". The parts of the Ancient Darkness that extended past the Formless 13 derived Forms and "became the Heartless"

I think yes this just reaffirms that the Yozora stuff in remind didn’t actually take place in the real Quadratum. It’s some transition point I believe both realities. KH4 clearly is the real one hence Sora’s appearance change, and other characters showing up.

I think that the Heartless are Physical Darkness generated by whatever the equivalence of "Irl People" are in that World. The Memories of those Hearts generate Heartless. And because we Have Seen Emblem Heartless, we know what they look like.

Here's a thought: Apprentice Xehanort dons the attire of Scala, which was once Daybreak Town. If Apprentice Xehanort had recalled Unreality via the memory experiments, perhaps he deduced the existence of the Ark and recreated it from the 'blueprints.' After all, Xehanort experiences the Player's memories in his dreams. It's possible that the Second Player, (Blue Robes) witnessed them.

Scala being in unreality makes sense, it was created from daybreak town, a world that was destroyed, thus not real anymore, and it is the nexus from where all worlds spring so makes sense that everything is born from nothing

But that wouldn’t make sense with what Xehanort and Ansem says about unreality. Unreality is described as a place where “words cannot reach”. The implication here is that reaching this unreality is incredibly difficult for denizens of the realm of reality. Unreality is also described as a realm where darkness does not exist, but we quite a few times see heartless and darkness in scala. So I don’t think scala is in unreality. I’m pretty confident it’s just another world in the realm of light, just incredibly special due to its nature as the origin point of all worlds, and it’s connection to the astral plane. It certainly has answers I’m sure in regards to unreality I’m convinced, hence why yen sid tasks Mickey with going there, but the world itself is not IN unreality

@@Thesuperduperbooster You make a good point, I still think there's something weird about the Scala we see in UX (black Scala) and the one in DR (white Scala) from which KH3's derives from as we only see it through Xehanort's portal SO we can't be really sure Sora went to the real Scala and not just one made from Xehanort's memories So I am thinking that this black Scala started in unreality, born from a world that ceased existing and then eventually was moved into reality and after that besame white Scala

I think that that he is implying that there are versions of certain worlds that become separate from the actual, like the Astral Realm version of Scala in Missing Link and Toy Story in kh3. I am not sure too, though it's still something interesting to discover.

Don’t tell me that’s why they needed that cringey VR moment for Sora in San Fransokyo so Sora could more or less understand without needing to know the theory entirely. Same as how he needs to go through training physically/experiencing to gain any theoretical or belief for the “power of awakening” from how dense he is. Keyblades are one of the most overpowered weapons in fiction, the only thing limiting them is their wielders.

But everything after with the mobile games, and Quadratum, and these other planes of existence has just completely left me behind lol. Guess I’ll have to deep dive into it and try to catch up if KH4 looks cool enough.

oh my god, can we just stop with meta narrative and just go back to simple times? Remember when IN KH 1 it was just about 3 kids wanting to leave his boring home only to end in another world and then team up with disney character to defeat a pantheon of evil disney villains only to find out later that the somebody else was in behind it all (and the we got solid "hints" of it as the game progressed) and then we travel to the end of a death world to fight the final boss? Good times I don't find anything of these fascinating, or interesting, or worth getting hype up, I just want Square to go back to their old solid story telling methods from Pre Final Fantasy 13 era Sigh....anyway have fun I guess.
