Stu sucks at gaming - he is joking about the pronunciation he was using. It sounded like staybility instead of stability (stuh-bil-ity). Well, that was my takeaway... perhaps I'm the one who is incorrect

Any kind of stability workout is a humbling experience. My "normal" dips went through the roof after doing ring dips for few months and shaky bar presses are really good for overall shoulder health. btw got my shirt yesterday - Neversate is now represented in Lapland :D

Love the bottoms up KB Waiter walks I saw Uncle Nic do - dropped them into my programme about 8 weeks back and noticed improvements in my OH positioning within 2/3 weeks. Brian - off topic a bit but I have been following your Dark Horse programme (currently on second cycle of it)... Once I have found the 1/3/5 rep max for the day and move onto volume stuff, do you continue to do the opposite mover/main mover/abs/conditioning combo or do you just focus on the sets of the main lift for the day? I workout at a commercial gym and find it difficult to maintain access to everything for 30 or so mins it takes to find may max and do volume work...

Thanks for the video my overhead is crap it’s the only lift that I struggle to gain strength in
@bigpat9896 жыл бұрын
Yeah iv done that recently I’m doing overhead twice a week now too one day a week I do implement stuff either log or axle heavyish and one day barbell and dumbbell stuff for lighter for more reps I never go too heavy just because iv had shoulder issues in the past and going heavy or trying to set gym PRs end up setting me back cause it can tweak the old injury I test PRs in all my other lifts every 8 weeks or so but with shoulder work I usually just let it progress naturally. Silly shoulder likes to fall out of place if I push it to hard to fast
@joneastling33366 жыл бұрын
Last night i was strict pressing and noticed more weakness in my upper back. Once I got the bar to my nose (cue sticking my head through a window) and got my head under the bar the lockout went great. Thinking about doing Z-press as a heavy assistance exercise. I will be Adding stability in for sure!! Thanks Brian! Btw, great jokes, I’m with yah brother!

I don't know about you guys, but I'm doing one of Brian's programs where I have to do a 100 ft waiters walk with a yoke weighing as much as my strict press 1RM. My strict press is 315 but I can't even pick up the yoke to waiters walk it. Any suggestions? I'm already going down in weight to get it done

Circus dumbell is so hard! I bought one recently and have been using it. It's a massive thing 35kg unloaded and capable of going really heavy. I don't have the throw and catch technique down yet to get it over my head so i've just been doing long holds in the rack position. Don't know if that will help me in the end or not!

Any ideas on how to do very heavy waiters walk with dumbbells (above 1rm) at a commercial gym
@stevenhewes19906 жыл бұрын
Stationary waiters hold. You won’t burn as many calories and get the same training economy as doing the actual waiters walks. However is helps with a busy commercial gym.

@ONShypnos6 жыл бұрын
It's technically allowed. Very rare to see someone try it in competition though. Its too slow for medleys or rep events and most people are stronger with the usual push press/push jerk style.
