Thanks for checking it out! I could only get 1 on the crank. I tried a few other lures that didn’t make the video as well. But yes! Love fishing those. Cheers!

How soft are those gulps? I used mullet and the minnow. Works but expensive and seem like a 1 bait per fish plastic.
@chrisbrandtthebeefshaman4 ай бұрын
The Paddleshad are the same texture as the mullet. That’s why I like the head with the wire hooks better. It holds the bait a bit better, longer.

this is a great spot, I fish in the cove right of Bahia’s beach. Went last night from 12am to about 2:30 am and caught fish all night. It’s a hot spot around 1 am

That’s awesome! I was actually just thinking of doing a night tube video out there. I haven’t done that trip in a while. Thanks for watching and sharing. Cheers!

Great video. Just started to use the little underspin jig head with the gulp minnow and crushed SD Bay this weekend. P.S. the color of the fish is based on living conditions, sand or weeds.
@chrisbrandtthebeefshaman4 ай бұрын
That’s awesome that you crushed it. Thanks for the color info. I’ve always wondered about that but never looked into it. Cheers! Thanks for checking out the video.

Hey just wanted to say thanks for the videos! I was at mission bay this morning and only caught 1 spotty. I’m doing something wrong… couple questions.. what weight is your line and fishing pole? Mono line? Also, thanks for telling your locations and showing the bait you are using. I love Mission Bay and would love to learn how to fish it better. Thanks!

Thanks for checking out the video. As for doing things right or wrong a lot of that is trial and error. In this video I was using 12lb test fluorocarbon line but I change that with what I’m using and what I’m fishing for and where. I usually use 6-12lb test mono or flouro. I also check the tides before I go because that can have a huge effect on the fish. I like the tide flowing not too strong or too dead. Usually a 4-6 foot tide swing. But I have caught plenty during other tides. The rule in the Bay is if you find the grass you find the bass. Soft plastics are probably easiest to learn with or even ghost shrimp. Continue to get out there and get after them and it will all start coming together. I hope that helps. Cheers!

What reel is that?

At the beginning of the video I was using a Shimano Calcutta 200 DC TR (silver). Then I also used the KISTLER Chromium 100 (red). Thanks for watching! Let me know if you have any other questions. Cheers!

@ dc’s work in salt water??
@chrisbrandtthebeefshaman2 ай бұрын
Those DCs are 20 years old and have been used in the bay and ocean many, many times. As long as they’re cleaned and taken care of there’s no issues at all. They’ve even caught Yellowtail and albacore.

What an amazing day of fishing. Too bad anything from the bay (mission or san diego) is toxic.
