To level up weapon skills, you actually need to shoot and hit something that takes actual damage... my trick was to park a vehicle in my garage, open the garage door, shoot the car until it catches fire, step back to close the door, thus refreshing the car to factory new, and repeat ad nauseum

In the mission, where Sweet tries to negotiate with the other Families before the police crash the place, there is an injured Grove Street member that tells CJ what happened. This character is immortal, so you can shoot him until you run out of ammo, and it will register as a hit. That's how I level up the early weapons.

Loved the fact you insisted on driving a Green Sabre for purely practical reasons! Known GTA learning - always keep 'your' cars in the garage lol I'd probably reload if I ended up losing it. CJ's respect for his childhood chums is exactly why he agrees to help OG Loc (who I actually think is hilarious) - nothing really more to it. CJ's sense of being a good guy is why he saves Denise, big mistake obvs because it would've been better for everyone if they just put the Pimp suit in the bloody shop. 14:33 This is a cultural oversight on your part. CJ's haircut may be short, but he is lacking a hairstyle. Something very important in the African American community. The reason while Ryder has longer hair and it isn't commented on is because Ryder has a Jheri Curl hairstyle. It was a popular style in the 80s-early 90s and is very difficult to maintain thus looked at with reverence. He is modeled after Eazy-E who had the same hairstyle. Due to graphical limitations you cannot see his curls. You can see it in character art however.

2:17:55 Fun fact: There's a way for you to get Millie''s keycard faster than the usual date if you dont want to resort to killing her. Make sure you have the gimp suit on, and go on dates with her. It just goes straight to the hot coffee and boosts the meter way faster. Then save the game until its time for you to date her again. And do that on repeat several times. You can make this process much faster if you buy the safe house near her house.

I always considered the Savanna, ZR-350, and Vincent to be Carl's main rides, Savanna because it's given to him and considering the gangsta culture appreciates Lowriders, it wouldn't be a stretch to say Carl would sought after his Savanna The ZR-350 because it is his prize car that he did actually cared about, especially in the cutscene where Catalina smashed it, and I figured he would bring the car around with him even through San Fierro and Las Vanturas, with the Savanna being stuck in the Grove Street garage The Vincent because it seem like a luxury executive car that Carl would drive given his position as manager or producer for Mad Dogg

I put countless hours into this game on the PS2. From about 17 years old to 19 years old. I used cheats, of course. I lived in San Andreas for 2 years. What a game!!!! I've got it on Switch. I'm playing through it without cheats this go around. "All you had to do was follow the damn train, CJ"! Something I never seen anyone do in the beginning of the game is, beat up the pizza guy and collect the shotgun....makes cleaning up the drug dens a little more dramatic! Lol I don't think I ever completed all the gf's. But, I am pretty sure I completed the game. I could talk about this game for hours.

1:38:30 i like to think the construction company was so absurdly intimidated to learn the guy who owns the rinky dink old gas station suddenly murdered the entire construction company, blew up several expensive trailers, used their construction equipment to push him into a hole burying him with crap, and then left a clear trail of blood back to his headquarters that they decided that it wasn't worth finishing the contract. Would you want to call the cops on someone who has proven they are a bulletproof menace to society? I wouldn't call the cops on that level of monster unless i was armed and armored. That or maybe the construction company owned the land and the guy you buried is the company owner, which could in theory tie the company up in court for several years.

insane ai shooting skills in gta san andreas are mostly the effect of entering a spot in a vehicle. since you are mostly covered in a regular car the game just intensify the accuracy of the ai targeting you with guns. otherwise they would not hit you at all when sitting in a car. the trick is to activate the cutscene on foot. if you DRIVE towards the trigger and activate the scene the game still thinks you are in the car even if you exit the car afterwards. it somewhat forgets to delete the (sitting in car status). some speedrunners mentioned it on speedruns of gta sa!

Save icon in Dogg's mansion causes a bug that removes all basketballs from the map thus making the basketball minigame unplayable if you ever saved there. Using the silent patch it moves the save icon down a corridor in a room the left. You didn't explore at all and isn't hard to find at all. Its litteraly right there.

Quadbikes are cool, because when you do the flying car cheat. It applies to the quad bike. If you put on "all cars have nitro" Again it works on the quad bike. Having a flying nitro quad bike is pretty wild

I always made CJ a mega multimillionaire before leaving Los Santos. I would gain $100,000 by driving around looking for the drug dealers in Families territories, and taking them out, gaining $2,000 from each dispatched dealer. Next, I would save the game at the safehouse near Glen Park, and then go to the betting shop a few blocks away (right across the street from the same parking lot where Sweet gets wounded and arrested). I always made the maximum bet (which is $9,999,995, once you've gained millions) on the green horse, the 12/1 or 11/1 underdog; if he lost, I'd reload the game, and try again until I won; if he won, I would save the game and repeat this until CJ had about $500,000,000. Only then would I go to Sweet for the Green Sabre mission. Now I could purchase every property available for purchase on the map.

1:41:35 I believe supply lines has just gotten easier as we've gotten older, I don't believe it was the emulator you used. Went back and played the original ps2 version on original hardware about a year ago, and I had 0 issues with it as well. I also remember the timer being much tighter and it being much easier to blow up. I think my kid brain just didn't know how to fly though, it took me months as a kid to pass flight school, so it may make sense that this would have been worse in such a light plane. I think my adult brain just comprehends flight controls better lol

What's an interesting theory I heard during the Drive Thru mission (and also an early possible indicator that Smoke was a traitor) was that when he was making that massive order, it wasn't him being fat, but rather it was to buy the Ballas time to get to their them and try to kill Sweet and CJ in a drive by. Smoke recommended the resturant and the Ballas knew exactly where they'd be at. Dude was buying the hit squad time to get the job done.

Honestly, the arcade game is the perfect kind of thing to either get an achievement or to unlock cosmetics. Getting a shirt or a car paint from these kind of minigames wasn't too uncommon.

The first game I ever played 13 years ago, and still do as a dumb college student. Geez, I must've poured hundreds of hours on this one. I still have the Ps2 Disc of it, but now I just play it on my laptop. Shame the definitive edition is so abysmal, otherwise I wouldn't have thought twice in buying it one more time. Even if the story isn't exactly great and the writing is wholy inconsistent, the gameplay makes up for it. Great video BTW.

I was just in angel pine doing the paramedic missions to max out my health and on the last level while i was literally driving back to the hospital i accidentally pressed the button to cancel the mission. Im not even gonna try doing this again

2:44:17 the save icon for madd doggs mansion probably has been removed with one of the fixes mods since having the save icon there will disable basketball in the entire game once you saved there as far as i can remember since the save icon appears to be too close to a basketball court, which is located in the mansion

3:04:43 GTA IV in terms of real size is actually smaller than San Andreas. Though it's not by a lot and given its a state vs a city, IV feels larger. V though is much bigger. Nice vid BTW :)

OG loc dog was never assaulted. He was a willing participant, so he was in a gay relationship in prison. So when He got out He didn't want the word to get out that he was homosexual To any of the Grove Street family Because he figured that they would clown him, which is ironic, because they already think of him as a clown.
