Seems like an honest reaction to some feedback you’ve received 🤷 I agree completely, for some people this could work great and others, it might not be their cup of tea. It is strange that most people don’t just go to a darts shop where I assume they’d let you have a chuck with a few sets, but maybe times have changed since the big hype the last year 🤷

I think this is a well worded/worked video. Something has to be said if it is needed to be said.... and for the record i aint against mission darts as well, i use them.... if it is an honest review and one not done to damage the company for any reason, then it is welcomed. Also this will make a company make sure they keep to a high level.

Daniel, I just want to say thanks for giving us an honest opinion. I understand its not the most popular opinion that Mission or Andy would want to hear, but at the end of the day its your opinion and you have stayed true to that. Any service or product worth its salt should be able to stand up to any critique or praise that comes its way. I myself have considered the service and could have been swayed months ago by the numerous positive review videos seen on KZbin. But I decided to wait and Im now glad that I did thanks to your honest review and the points you highlighted.

@@ignacio9590 I disagree. For me Daniel's video and the comments it generated reset my expectations of the service offered by Mission. Ive had an insight to others experiences who didnt necesarily have a platform to share it on. Daniel also reinforced to me that a change in equipment is no silver bullet and in order to fully benefit from such a service my throw needs to be far more consistent.

I think you touched on it perfectly early in this video when you said paying for service vs paying for time. When I book my barbers it’s a 30 minute slot on his website but I’m not paying for the 30 minutes I’m paying for a haircut, if he’s done in 15 minutes all the better. If I was to pay for an hours darts coaching and get 35 minutes I would rightly be annoyed. I think people who were going into this expecting to pay for the service of having a professional select a well suited dart for them are likely to be satisfied. Whereas those who wanted to the experience of spending an hour with said pro are disappointed. I notice a lot of complaints are from people who’ve travelled a long way wanting to “make a day of it”. Now whether or not the service and darts selected are good/right for the customer is up to the customer to say in the end, but I think now the website makes it clear exactly what you’re paying for there certainly can be no more complaints on that basis.

Daniel, my name is Jason 🤝. Firstly I would just like to say it’s so refreshing that as a self assessing, reflecting and improvement driven human how wonderful your character and moral compass is. It still astounds me there are more people than not out there that will have a debate with 5 other people yet believe so blindly their opinion is correct they will not accept or even acknowledge the perspective of the other 5 - myself, I go in with the opinion but my mindset is I have 5 potentially priceless opportunities here that if I carefully rationalise and research it may be that 2 of them have a point of view or opinion that could better my knowledge and understanding of a topic that could lead to a crucial decision made correctly in the future as opposed to the people who right or wrong will not even consider opinion purely out of ignorance, lack of intelligence and worst of all “saving face” that they may be incorrect! Yes I often here a lot of crap but I’ll not dismiss this crap without first listening and then studying every angle of that view or information and further still I don’t believe I own the right to degrade or dismiss another persons view just because it differs to my own yet if that person has the humility to add perspective and knowledge in spite of their previous views I would assist that person with something I may have knowledge on to have a beneficial outcome on their life. So if it means anything my view is you made an utterly fair, informed, unbiased and almost mostly not even opinionated rather than an explanation of somebody’s account of their own personal feelings on an experience they had, and I would go as far to say the response you received was utterly opposite, a borderline childish, juvenile clearly protective and biased egotistical response - making a character attack on yourself for someone else’s clearly unhappy feeling in a service they received and would just like to add you handled yourself in an extremely mature, rational and thoughtful manner - the exact type of quality that would lead me to confidently believe in your opinions and approach to your coaching and passion.

I went and did one of these about 2 years ago as I got a recommendation. Was there for 30-40mins at most, he gave me a Mission Nightfall Style 2 set, another torpedo style dart. I only got to try the same standard flights, he just gave some L-Style ones and said yep great. I also asked about and recommendations for my throw and was told he doesn’t give advice, not sure if that’s said but just thought I’d add. Good videos and very unbiased from what I’ve seen

Hi,I've had a fitting experience this week,and of course I can only give my view,is a little costly,but I feel you can search and spend for ages to find the right dart,I got a full hour,tried enough darts,then tried them in different weights,I was given good advice about my throw,which I've found really helpful, especially as I've been struggling a bit,all in all I had an enjoyable experience, and was very easy to get on with, and thorough with the darts,so I would recommend,only downside was they packed me the wrong darts,and they were out of stock,so sending me a set when they have next shipment,so some theory of fitting people with darts they want to get rid of doesn't stack up,as mine are popular,they also told me to keep the darts sent,can't fault their customer service,that's my experience only.

Hi,just seen the video and reading the comments,I'm not throwing consistent darts right now,however I went for my fitting with no more expectation other than find a dart that I pick up hand to hand consistently,and to release the dart better,Andy understood this,and gave me some useful advice aswell,so I think,and he says he caters for all abilities,so I believe he does.

Good to see my comment got you in bother, haha. Joking aside, as I said at the start of it, we all get why it's limited to Mission products - I was simply saying there used to be better value options and I think £250 for a proper fitting including darts is closer to reality for many. I agree I think the email was in anger, maybe even fuelled by a couple pints. We've all been there. It did seem a bit petty though and I also agree there's little point you going. Of course he's going to give you the full works, but it's about random punters and their feedback. The empty threats were a bit embarrassing. He could have cut that email down and said, let's have a chat and it could have turned into a positive. Owning up to most customers are closer to 40 minutes than an hour and they'll update the wordage. Maybe even showing some of the darts and sending you a set, if you choose to review them on the channel, so be it. I think there was a nicer way to do it than a somewhat arsey email.

I’ve thought about this a lot since your last video and watched all the videos featuring the service I could. Two things I thought were- 1. Andy does say he doesn’t believe in changing points as the manufacturer knows best. Why then do they all put in the cheapest points available and sell a whole range of replacement points? 2. Every video I watched ended with the customer being given torpedo shaped darts like the crypt. But maybe this is indeed the ultimate shape of dart for the darts to land consistently at the desired angle in the board for the majority of less experienced players. Just because many of us were given a straight barrelled dart as a kid and have got to a fair level with them doesn’t mean a straight barrel is the ultimate shape. Just a couple of thoughts since I commented on the last video.
@Straightdarts
@Straightdarts 3 ай бұрын
Only two out of the top 80 players in the PDC use darts very similar in shape, I find it very unlikely that's the best dart for so many customers conservatively. Just my opinion, though.
@adrianunderwood961
@adrianunderwood961 3 ай бұрын
@@Straightdarts - I think it’s hard to know because most of the top pro players as kids were undoubtedly given a set of bristows or more recently Anderson’s or Lewis’ or the equivalent straight barrelled dart. For 10-25 quid you could get the best darts available. My point is that this data isn’t really decisive in determining the best shape for a dart and therefore it might well be the case that a torpedo or a bomb is as good if not better. My guess is that if Jockey or Eric had come out playing with torpedoes the darts of the top 20 in the world might look somewhat different.

@adrianunderwood961 You feel it's more lickly that they didn't try different shape darts rather than they used what works? 28 out of today's top 32 active the same angle of entry with a long, thin dart, it's technique. A long dart griped at the rear, and a front landed dart fly the same in terms of balance. Another reason I think he is a conman is he coaching prices. £99 for a 10 minute online chat. 🤣 www.dartscoach.co.uk/

Either way its done with now, it was an enjoyable experience for what it was, in my case it just wasnt for me in the end. I did want to ask you a question about coaching, you mention in the video theres coaches out there who shouldnt be coaching, and I fully support the fact you cannot name them. What i wanted to ask was, do you know by any chance of any decent coaches who are based around the yorkshire area? Id love to have a session with you at some point but im that busy at the min id need to have someone pretty local to me who i can go to for face to face coaching? Im based in Sheffield. I want to add something you might not have seen, 9 months ago andy carol is on a youtube video entitled "mission precision darts custom fitting service" its still on youtube.... at 0.57 seconds in, he states, after going through the things he will do he says"I might use a camera". Also 2 years ago someone from "lovedarts" channel went to darts cornner video is entitled "Lovedarts - I went to darts corner for an EXCLUSIVE Mission precision session!!" At 14:42 in the video Andy shows the guy his phone clearly talking about his grip and throw. Its obvious hes looking at a slo mo video oof this. So 1, why did andy say a video is ridiculous after you suggested it, amd 2, why doesnt he do a video for people after the service is launched? clearly its a valuable tool as he shows the video the player? BYW he is wrong, its not against youtube policy at all, aka negativity of the service and brand, if so there would be no negative reviews of ANYTHING on youtube

That email is quite harsh and he’s only being “polite” about it because if he had gone all guns blazing in email or over the recorded call he’d have been made to look as a bit of an ass, the bits about copyright are funny because its never a problem for any channel to use a logo as long as its a positive video, its quite pathetic really isn’t it, even if he reported it to KZbin all that would have happened is a removal of the video and likely a strike which for a lot of channels nowadays is a common thing anyway, he makes it out to seem so much more deadly in the email 😂, we’re all entitled to our opinions on something whether its a good or bad, you’re working with somebody and you shared what their experience of it was with an opinion, dart fitting services as you say are a waste of time and even bigger waste of money especially with what they charge for it.

Andy seems a lovely guy but I find that he’s trying to fit players with darts that seem to suit him. He should firstly allow people to throw their own darts then see if he can make the tweaks with Mission products. Reading that fellow’s email about dropping 4 grams was sad because I did something similar, I went down from 25g to 22g and had a small bout of dartitis with the lighter darts. Been stuck with 25g for about 6 years now. Haven’t even considered changing weight.

In addition to fair use of content being allowed under the Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988, the video was not defamatory under the Defamation Act 2013, as it was an honest statement of opinion, that could reasonably be held by an honest person, and the basis of that opinion was made very clear in the video. A trainee solicitor would laugh this threat out of their office. I thought the Mission service seemed really shoddy just based on the extended 'promo' fittings that were initially made available on KZbin, but this email from the company really does paint them in a poor light. So much for a 'tight knit' darts community. Bad form here from Mission.

Without giving away trade secrets he showed me and told me things that really made it click and understandable.
