I really wanted to see that movie, just for the crash scene. Having now learnt that the movie will be released in two parts, I will be waiting until both parts are available on DVD. I'm NOT going to spend a fortune at a movie theater to get half-way through the story and then have a message come up on the screen "to be continued . . ."

There's no way it was a replica. They picked the worst engine type to copy, due to the 3 large wheels. Seeing the wheels after the drop, you just know it was a real engine. Finding photos of the engine arriving on the set, shows it had a full boiler fitted. Not sure they would do that in a fake engine, to drop over a cliff. Cheaper to destroy the real thing.

A Britannia , 9f s have 5 coupled axles(2 10 0 ) very similar in profile but a lot different underneath.

I love the Movies, all great films, My only criticism is with the title, If the Mission's were impossible it's highly unlikely there would have been a first sequel to begin with, this may be controversial but imo the Mission's themselves have proved to be possible.
