@cyborgLIS the neural net watched hundreds of thousands of clips from thousands, perhaps tens of thousands, of drivers across the country. When FSD was free for all Teslas, it gathered clips from half a million to a million Teslas. When you gather that much data to train with you’ll cover a lot of edge cases and this isn’t even a hard parking spot in my opinion.

FSD software stack itself does not change gears to reverse/drive, but for now AutoPark is a separate feature. At 0:27 you can hear the ding-ding sound indicating FSD is disengaged, and the parking spots appear on screen. He then selects the parking spot, which initiates the AutoPark sequence.

We are using the free trial and tested it by saying Navigate nearest hospital. That hospital was about 5 miles across town and we were headed in the opposite direction. It got us to the front entrance in the main parking lot. Not the ER. So maybe Tesla could tweak the system by flashing the cars lights, honking the horn and or using the cars PWS to announce a medical emergency. The car could also contact 911 and maybe police our EMT’s could intercept the car enroute. But it worked without disconnecting or any intervention on my part. Yes I still had to avoid the nag, so that could be a problem in an emergency. That could be a game changer. Elon are you listening.

In EU SOS button to call 112 (our 911) mandatory. Your car in EU already has microphone & speaker used by that system built in. I guess it doesn't need SIM card, but needs to have antena and proper celluar module to log-in to BTSes and transmitt the call...

Despite having all those cameras, it can't safely reverse, as it it still has too many blind spots ! Same goese for the front ! Without having a bumper camera, it's impossible for the car to tell if there is something in the way when it was parked. So let's say you are in a bar and summon your car to pick you up, how will the car be able to tell if there is a little girl playing right infront of your car without sensors, or at least a bumper camera ? This is why removing the sensors was a terrible idea ! They will have to correct this either with modern radar sensors or more cameras in the back, otherwise Full Self Driving without human supervision will never be allowed! Why are people not seeing this and constantly get blinded by Elon Musks marketing bla bla ? So didn't Tesla say every Model 3 would be equipped with everthing necessary to make FSD possible when they first started selling them ? Yes they indeed did ! Well since everybody can subscribe to FSD, i guess Tesla will have to recall many, many Model 3's to equippe them with the hardware necessary for free !

How is this different to humans? The Tesla camera sits at the top of the windscreen and has a much better angle to see than I can. If I wake up and decide to start driving then how can I tell if therre is a little girl playing right in front of my car? Phillip.
@cafl98444 ай бұрын
@@philliptemple4534 The cameras on the windshield can't see directly infront of the car, so if the car is parked and f.e. a cat would be sitting right infront of the bumper the camera in the windshild wouldn't be able to see it Would you just drive without looking first when your car has no way of telling what's directly infront of your car ? This is why other car manufacturers think it's a great idea to have cameras and sensors in the front bumper ! Tesla will have to include them again or at least additional cameras in the front and back, otherwise FSD will never be allowed without human supervision ! It's just common sense, if you want a Robo Taxi, it needs to see everything ! It can't afford having blind spots as it would be far to dangerous!

@@philliptemple4534 I did answer that question. If i don't have sensors nor a camera in my front bumper I wouldn't start driving until I had ensured nothing is I front of my car and that's exactly why FSD can't be allowed without human supervision in the current configuration, as the car isn't able to make sure there's nothing in the way for itself !
