I learned a lot from this-thank you! I’m going to try to apply the current seam info to the Susquehanna on my next trip.

Awesome! Good luck out there. If you haven't seen it already, this video touched on similar topics but I'm on the Susquehanna: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jGmZZYGZapyKm68

The float from the upstream landing to where you launched at is probably one of my favorites. Got a breakdown of your kayak setup? I've been on a pedal drive the last few years but thinking it's time to upgrade to a motor setup.
@GarrettRussler3 ай бұрын
Yeah I would like a breakdown as well . Bought a pedal drive it does what I need it to . But I can’t afford a boat and I’m tired of using paddle and pedal . I’m ready to just relax on the water and not have to work to fish .

It's a blast to fish that area. I like the whole stretch from the dam down to Clearwater. No in depth look at the setup right now. The fishing videos are doing well now so I've been trying to stick with those, but I want to get a rig overview in the channel in the future. Probably this fall or early winter.

Love your channel!! I enjoy the tips and information. I live in Minnesota and would love to do a day fishing with you. Another topwater lure I’ve had success with is the riser bait 007r. Give that one a try.
@RivermanTV-3 ай бұрын
Thanks for the support! I'll try to find one of those baits. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back up in MN until next season. Keep catchin em up there for me until then.

Can you do a video on fall lures please? With specific suggestions, for example, lots of videos will say "use a jerkbait" but there is so many and I have no idea which one is ideal for rivers. Thanks!

I will try to make one similar to my early summer baits video here soon

@@RivermanTV- Cool man. Any suggestions you could hit me up with now? Gonna go fishing this weekend on my kayak. Usually run a top water and ned/wacky rig. Was thinking trying a vision 110jr? Better options for fall? (live in ontario,canada so getting colder)
@RivermanTV-3 ай бұрын
@@zachh-w3s love the 110 jr plus one and the x-80 trick starter for open water. For grassy stuff I've been liking the Zman jerkshadz on a 1/8 oz weighted hook

Love the explanations of what you're reading from the water and how to attack it. Its taken many years to harness the knowledge and avoid fishing history. You may have spooked a few but while landing other smallies. We were taught similarly by a veteran river guide buddy. Love seeing it in action brother

It's been really tough catching descent fish. Best time for me was mid May into early June prespawn. The catching and the quality of fish sadly gone seriously down hill. I really hope it'll be better in October.

This time of year is definitely on the slower side but there are good things to come in Oct!

If you could live near some of the best smallmouth fishing where would that be ? Which town, city ?
@RivermanTV-3 ай бұрын
Hard to say. Somewhere in MN like Minneapolis/St Cloud or central WI for proximity to lots of options.
@kodyyorton46743 ай бұрын
Quick question for you. My rivers up here in mid Michigan are extremely low right now, what is your approach in low water level conditions?
@kodyyorton46743 ай бұрын
Small rivers btw
@RivermanTV-3 ай бұрын
In small rivers it's all about finding the holes that will hold fish in the winter. Those are refuge zones when the water gets low. They aren't in them to winter just yet (they'll move if water allows) but they definitely want to be close to them without getting cut off. In some of the small rivers by me, it seems that a large chunk of the population moves out of the river entirely down to the next bigger river. I think they do this before fall low water periods so they don't get stuck in a pool and die there because it's not the right habitat for low water or winter.

If I had a place to store a kayak and transport the kayak to the river id get one. Does anyone own a tucktech portable kayak. If so what's your opinion on them? To me honestly it wouldn't be save to use in heavy current.
