Yes! So my boyfriend and I always do thanksgiving with my fam and then Christmas Eve with his and then usually Christmas with my family just for the morning. Christmas Eve is really big for his family and thanksgiving less so it works out!

Hey gal for your roadtrip, I highly recommend stopping in upstate ny in the catskills. Super similar to PNW and I think you'd really enjoy it. Also totally down to give u a tour of the place. You should definitely come to my little town when visiting Canada! It’s about 3.5 hours from Toronto and home to the most southern tip of Canada. We’re also only about a 45 minute drive to the Ambassador Bridge which connects to Detroit!

Meg, please please come through Michigan! I live in the lower peninsula. The upper peninsula is gorgeous year round. Lots and lots of snow. Sometimes a few feet! In the northern lower peninsula, there is beautiful scenery year round. Michigan is a truly beautiful state!

I’ve lived in michigan all my life and if you decide to come here I’d say visit detroit and somewhere on lake michigan for sure (like grand haven or ludington). We also have a cutesy town called frankenmuth that is Bavarian themed and is like Christmas year-round if you come near the holidays!

you should extend your trip a little further west and come to minnesota, particularly the north shore of lake superior 😊 i live in duluth and love the small town feel the city has + the accessibility to tons of parks and hiking trails!

Just have to throw this out there: If you happen to pass through NY at all on your road trip, I highly recommend checking out New Paltz, NY. I went to college there and it's the cutest little hippie town and it would be sooo up your alley! It's filled with vegan, environmentally conscious people who smoke a ton of weed and love animals. I loved it there so much. It's in the mountains so there's lots of hiking near by. Another cute town not too far from there is Beacon, NY!

Hey girl, just some advice for road tripping north east, give yourself buffer time for driving in bad weather. Like if you have an airbnb booked or have some time restriction because if weather gets bad your trip can quickly take on 2+ hours because of needing to drive slower and being hyper cautious. Pay attention to the forecast in case you need to leave earlier than planned, also high way signs will alert you about incoming weather conditions. I live an hour from Montreal and about 2 from Burlington VT and end of December/January can be really bad!

For me and my hubby, we tend to go together to see our families, which all live in the area we live in pretty much, so we're able to bounce around the week of Christmas, and usually make a couple stops on Xmas and Xmas Day
