Have you done any videos on how this can work for controlling sound and lighting on a DC system ? It would be good to see how the sound works under the variations of DC power

Yes we have. Here is one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hnzGc2iZl92gjtU

Would be great if you did a full setup for a Steam Loco, maybe a Shay or Climax or Heisler?😊. Great job explaining tho…looking forward to changing all my Loggers over to this.

George - thanks, I learned a lot from this video that will help me get started on Blunami. Now I just have to decide which locos to start putting them in! One question I had - what do you use F9 for - it was missing the the function map that you included in the video. I use it for "brake apply" for various reasons, mainly related to the awkwardness of making my (many) Tsunami-1 decoders brake consistently with my Tsunami-2 ones, and also its location on the lower left corner of the NCE throttles.

I just don’t currently have anything assigned to F9. I use F8 for brake application and F19 for Mute. Then F11 is my ‘straight to idle’ (that I barely use, especially with high momentums..) that mates Idle and N8 (F10) next to each other. F13 removes my coupler and is replaced with the alternate volume mixer, which I use for hauling ‘dead’ units (see one of our older videos on this!) and just to my liking. I was always able to get the original Tsunami it have F8 as the brakes and is usually easily accessible even if I go to a 8-function cab layout. But with Blunami, I can put it anywhere and it’s easily accessible. For further discussion, email me at georgeb@soundtraxx.com and we can talk further.. Thank you!

I have no doubt as to the reliability of this new Bluetooth system. The only real downside is making sure your track is clean or making sure your batteries are good. The real test for this system is using it at a train show exhibit.

We have taken Blunami to multiple train shows using battery power and track power. As long an you have power to the decoder, you are good to go!
