I just got back 3weeks ago from 2 months in PI and since I grew up 25 years in Missouri and I'm now working on selling my homestead with solar and moving to PI... I thought I gotta watch this episode -- then I watched the boat episode and.... Damn it, I got another frickin PI Vlogger I got Subscribe to and now a whole bunch of vids to binge watch (I'm actually excited about the solar review). Prepare yourself for a whole bunch of stupid questions/comments to be coming your way cause I'm southern jackass mixed with midwest polite (most times). You and your clan seem like my kinda people. I hope I get the chance to meet you someday. Peace, B. Goat

@@TexasFilipino Excellent 👍 My combiner box has been a massive asset for me since it's enabled me to max out my voltage to my all in one inverter inputs. But I'll admit because of that increased amperage I've oversized my cables both to the combiner box from the panels and the cables from the box to the inverter. I've gone with 8 gauge all the way across haha. But it gives me piece of mind and much less worry about possible fire.

@TexasFilipino
@TexasFilipino Жыл бұрын
We are only using grid as a backup right now. We was offgrid before then with construction and the guys being so careless with my solar panels and other equipment I had to make the choice to take most of it down until the roof was on. Now we are back off grid again and using our local power company for extra demand if guest are in the rooms using aircons and boil pots etc. As far as our daily life here in the house we are fully covered. If just one guest room going we are still covered. If I add four more batteries we will have those other demands covered.

Your a very smart thinker and look to the future and brown outs would not interfere with your daily life , so hey 2 more batteries would seal the deal. Question. all the time - the controller manages it. If it needs to slow it down it puts puts resistance on the fields called braking and almost or fully stops it. If I need to work on it I can give it 100% resistance in the menu to stop the blades then let it down

Nice to see all that green power. So the extra wattage, not required to top up the bats. gets “dumped”? Where does it get dumped now or do the bats only draw down what’s needed at that time? Interesting subject for me, the novice. Enjoy your new textured bananas. 🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌

Our local company was not offering an actual payback just a credit with them. Now what will I do with a credit when I really don't even need them besides backup of worse case. Now in all honest I will be talking to them about that. What I want to know is if the credit can be transferred to another account. Then we could apply the credit to Melinda's moms bill. I would be interested in that.

@TexasFilipino you shoukd definitely look into it further. Hi, be carefull with putting back on the net. Here in Europe (at least some countries), people get money for their green electricity they put on the net, but also have to pay taxes when putting excess of energy to the net. The raison is they "overload" the net. I do not see that happen really quickly in the Philippines, but whith such a quick growing economy, you never know.

190 ah lead acid does not offer near the power that lithium does. so battery type is very important. Next is what is the voltage of your inverter? 12v 24v 48v 72v? taking 12vdc to 220vac consumes more power than 48vdc to 220vac so that is another variable.
