When you said , all are brains think different, not many people get that... You must of had a child that maybe had a learning disability.... Well I'm one of those kids..but now 62 years old ,I'm still one of those kids.... My mind sees things differently, I think the way to teach is so understanding. Thank you. You are the one I wake up to to see your deal of the day. You are the one that I search for the next quilt I hope to make. In the day I think I check out your website more then anyone.Jenny you are the one I started to watch 9 months ago. Your way of teaching is awesome... Thank you again.

MSQC, you are just the right people to join with the Kansas City Star to bring back the old blocks of the month. A joint effort retrospective to save the history would be fabulous for today’s crazy world. Please give it consideration. And, Jenny, you are just the one to bring back the life of those projects along with the blocks.

Ginger Paxman! You nailed it. I watched it while my sister and I texted. We're both doing the block of the month. I told sis that I felt like I was sitting across the table from her and getting a private lesson. So intimate! My first thought when I read the pattern was "Jenny doesn't usually waste that much fabric from a five inch square." I wasn't surprised when she had us make four half square triangles instead of just one! This is going to be so fun.

And we can see that the block can be made in less than an hour. Love the personal studio, and window too. 😊 I would live to know how Jenny stores all her tools....and rulers. A tour would be great! What a great tutorial, and beautiful BOM quilt! I love that your granddaughter reminded you that she has a "turtle" (sewing machine), not a "rabbit" like yours! Her comment reminds me of the first ever quilt I made: I used the first jelly roll I ever bought (from MSQC, of course!), and used the "Jelly Roll Race 2" tutorial pattern to make it. Then after a very looooong time of sewing, trimming, basting a quilt sandwich, quilting it with wavy lines and a walking foot (on my own turtle machine), then cutting out and sewing on the binding, and making and affixing a label to the back, I *finally* finished it! (Which reminds me: now that I have a smart phone, I will figure out how to post a picture onto my still-empty Instagram account, and will remember to tag MSQC when I do). But I recall at the time telling my friend that I don't know how other sewists finish theirs so quickly, I am such a slow sewist if I want my seams to be straight, which of course I do. She replied, "Well, maybe for you, it's not a jelly roll RACE, it's a jelly roll WALK!". Since my fabric collection was called 'Wallflowers', I thought it a perfect reason to name my quilt "Wallflowers Walk" :-) Thanks for all your tuturials, Jenny. You're the best! ~Diana K from Hamilton (Ontario)

First off-I absolutely love Jenny. I learned to sew when I was very young but lost touch with it. Now that I am well into my 30s and starting to pick it up again, Jenny is the best at helping me refresh my own memory and learning new techniques. Thank you "sew" much Jenny for the wonderfully delightful videos.TIP: to save on fabric, instead of just cutting a 5 inch block down to a 3 inch block and wasting or scraping what was cut off, you can also create the 3 inch background squares the same way you created the half square triangles. Cut & sew 2 pieces of your 5 inch background squares together the same way as the half square triangles and trim accordingly. Now this tip only saves fabric not time. :)

Really enjoyed this and totally get the orientation and angles issue. Me TOO! I am almost done piecing my first quilt from your tutorial "Hidden Hearts." I joined our church group about 3 years ago to hand quilt. Our circle is very small due to so many "aging out." Those left are in their 70s, 80s and 90s. I am the youngest (61) and am now putting the quilts up in frames and marking quilts, something I had NEVER done before. So now piecing is my new challenge. I LOVE your tutorials and really feel I can do most of them - even with my sewing challenges. I have never been the greatest seamstress. But in one video you mentioned that it is just a lot of practice. So I took that advice to heart and with practice and a lot of seam ripping, I am slowly getting one top near finished. Sure glad I found your videos!!
