If you had velcro strips atleast 2 straps per side added to each piece then the boards will not separate. Fabulous idea.

I so appreciate you for taking the time to throughly explain the flooring you chose, why you chose it, where to buy it and your tricks when laying it down and using sliders to put it away. My skates will arrive this weekend so I'll be at Lowes tonight. I use to think I was THE ROLLER SKATE QUEEN at my local Skate Land in the late 70's & early 80's. LOL!!!!! I was anything but. I thought the same thing at age 7 when I got my first Big Wheel. My first purple banana seat bicycle with a basket and bell in the front and a tall pole with a 🚩 behind the seat. I ordered the skates to do some fun toning but, to be honest, I think I want to reserect the QUEEN that's been hiding deep inside of me.

Would this work outside on dirt? I have a huge backyard but I’m renting it so I can’t do much and it’s not the best neighborhood to skate on the road for being a girl so I want to try this!

I would be mindful of ensuring that the ground is level to prevent falls. It works inside mostly because the floor is level. You need it to be level to move from board to board without falling
