This song is his wedding gift to his wife back in 1988 (his former gf of high school who he is still married to now). Then the song was released on Disintegration in 1989

I hear you. I grew up in Portloe which is in Veryan. Growing up in Cornwall as a youth is an experience not forgotten. As a youngster I visited many hamlets around Cornwall.

Got a free ticket and saw him maybe 5 years ago in Sweden. He could still sing. Same sound. If you want a more up-beat one check out "Why Can't I Be You".
